BBC antique snooker cue, Canadian eagle...

hunger strike

This cue has a very hard to find Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. of Canada, Ltd. eagle logo decal on it. It is a Canadian BBC snooker cue. It is longer than a pool cue, probably about 60" and does not have a tip or ferrule. Notice the decal is red and yellow, not red and gold. I have collected antique cues for 20 years and I have never seen any others except the 3 I have, and the seller made me take all of them so I am trying to just get even on the others. Reasonably but not perfectly straight. None of the 3 had tips or ferrules and do not appear to have ever had any, which I don't understand. Maybe they were intended to be bridge handles, I don't know.
$110 shipped in the usa for free. I will get the photos posted or you can pm me your email for pics. Check my 100% pos feedback.

price drop

$100 shipped. The cues cost me $125 each but I had to buy them all to get just 1 to keep. Giving one to my accountant who plays snooker and has antique BBC "Royal" tables.

trade for another brunswick decal cue?????

I am always open for trades. Brunswick made a lot of unique cues that were not necessarily high end but interesting. Wanna trade? I wish my zoom worked better, but the only difference between this and the typical eagle decal is that it says "...of Canada, Ltd." and that it is yellow instead of gold.

pics can be emailed, pm me. the cue is ROSEWOOD!

YES, I looked tonight and the cue is Brazilian rosewood, but it is too dark to show with my camera, but this new 10x zoom camera did get the decal very well so pm me your email.....

rosewood BBC eagle decal snooker cue still for sale

I still have not emailed photos to Mel Smog but I will do photos tonight. Anyone else interested that I have not already contacted? The cue does not appear to be cut off. A few old Brunswick cue types have surfaced that appear to never have had ferrules or tips. Maybe at one time they were left off to be customized, I don't know. The cue is longer than a pool cue. about 60", so it appears to be full size.

photos

I have access to two computers, neither allow me to use photobucket type services, so I have to have people pm me their email address so I can send them emailed photos. It's all I can do for now...

Brazilian Rosewood BBC Snooker cue still for sale....

I think this has not sold because I don't have a pic of it on here. I will see if I can figure out how to put a photo on this thread without using a photobucket-type host because my computer at work blocks these sites and the photos do not show... I have been emailing pics...

Yep, they are rare - I have only had the one whose label is shown here, and the friend I sold it to had never seen one, and he's been collecting different cue labels for decades. Sorry, I no longer have pics of the entire cue, but I believe it was a similar wood to yours, silk wrap, no veneers, ivory buttplate:

Canadian Brunswick Balke Collender cue w/eagle

This rosewood cue is still for sale. It is not specatacular, but is is rare. See Runscott's post on here. I don't like to use the word rare, but that's why I can't really lower the price. I am selling to help another person. You won't be sorry. It is already in a tube ready to mail.

There are a few Brunswick/Balke-Collendor label collectors out there (cues with labels) who would love this cue, but the ones I know already have it, and all acknowledge it as being one of the most rare. I only collect veneered examples, or I would be interested. Good luck.
