PM me here for pick up at the $450 price and get the full 101 for the how, what and why on the real deal 4ball table, see you then...

revising, tweaking the holster, at the finishing stage now, same deal with the original one or the newer one. Thought I'd improve the finishing on the original one only to make it worse, one thing led to another and well...
...a do over.

In addition to the 622 official 4ball New Moon, Full Moon and Mars modes giving the game a total 1866 possible table settings,
you can create your own scenario's using copy and paste of this illustration.

Pose a scenario if you like, I'll spot it up...

What it looks like from realville,
all that's needed now is a rule set, ...:D

Playing it straight from the spot. Getting the first group out usually with reasonable shape up table for one more, then trouble...

Flipping the same plot gives a different look, 'left to right - right to left' play, even though it's the same plot it writes up different.
If the choice is a given in some sort of challenge, which would you choose?

Pi.1.F.jpg

Been playing it both ways, some with different paths,
getting the 2 out of the way with shape on the 11 in the 8b-pocket has me down to a one ball, varying situations.

Get a little more play out of a table setting playing sides with a push-out from the spot for the start.

Thank you to all that have given this a look...

I'll be back.

1. The current master, benchmark at 42".
Tweaked the cups, locations and gaps with a formula to keep table settings proportioned the same to varying table widths.

2. Current player.

3 The set above that's For Sale, showing the difference between the 40'' and 42"

NM (New Moon), the beginning, the first location. It is a right angle that intersects the width (plain) at its 1/3's equal parts, the right-angle continuing through the bends for their locations.

FM (Full Moon), the second stage that followed sometime later.

M (Mars), a stage far to reach.

Have another one available, same thing except with cherry indexes.

A 4Ball 101 hypothesis:

Here is one of the more than one way to set up/call a race.

The standard is the pick of 9 plots that can be paired for a total of 18 plots to choose from.
The way they're paired up is by equal numbering distance from the front and back end of the (hardest) 1 through 622 (easiest).
For example, the 217 plot would match up with a plot by a count of 217 spots from the back end, leaving the count at 406, the second plot of 2.

The objective to a race is an all-offence-boundaries-disciplined* shooter and crew per table, 9 innings of play within the set strength, a game clock of 9 minutes, lag-in clock of 1 minute per inning/plot and a 1 minute dilly-dally clock to get your post/plot pick into the scorer's table between innings/frames. :)
Let's say the race strength is set at 35; meaning, of the nine plots (innings) you'll post, and play cannot exceed 35.

Each plot has 6 ways to stage your out, NM< FM< M< and the flipped side at the NM<FM<M,
one side may favor left to right play better verse's the right to left play in a given plot scenario.

There are two scores to win: points and skins.
Points are as follows.
first ball potted is worth 1-point, second ball potted is worth 2 points, third ball potted is 4 points with the 4th ball potted worth 8 points.
Skins: 1 skin if the designated ball is potted last in the 8-point pot. note: the skin is worth 2 if no fouls or legal misses during the 4ball out.

In conclusion for this race, you and your teams' objective are to make the most of the 9 plots picked from the possible 18 within a 27-minute time limit to present your best outcome against 6 - 12 other shooters on the same clock at the same time on their own table. Yes, a true billiard racing of world records to be made and broken.

example: 217 being a plot chosen gives these looks,

*Cue Ball starts and finishes center/center table of a head and/or foot object ball through legal run-out, otherwise considered out-of-bounds, inning over.

Added 2 more sets,
40" pockets skewed @ 45degees, (S) made of white maple, (L) white oak and (B) walnut. +$100
46" 45 5/8 - 46 1/4, same painted poplar with red oak indexes. same price
Pockets settings are appropriately on the mark, finishes are slightly less than perfect.

ol' ru'l set, O ru'l set

cue ball on head center spot, black on center table spot and pink on foot spot
A-L>-1/2/11/12, B-<L-3/4/9/10, D-<L-5/6/7/8
Cushion Ball and rail for a good hit, No-Call, straight or playing sides R/Y vs. B/G 2 or 4 players.

Playing it straight-STARTS: white on black to open, if black pocketed, 8 points, anything else starts your count at 1 point,
(if playing sides re-spot, no points no charge, loss of turn)
a miss on the opener has no charge, shoot again, if you miss, it would be like throwing 2 gutter balls, no points - GAME OVER, re-rack.
If, you make a ball on the second shot you have 1 point, shoot again, if you make that it's +2 points = 3, shoot again, if you pocket that its +4 = 7, shoot again, keep adding them up, however, if you miss, its -1 point, shoot again, if you miss again - twice in a row, you're toast, -2 points from your run total, GAME OVER. IF you make a ball after the first miss the run count starts again at +1 to your previous score stopped by the miss shot; running balls consecutively always is first ball pocketed for 1 point, 2nd ball potted +2, 3rd ball potted +3 and so forth. NO, if you're playing sides, you do not get to shoot again after a miss, same O', same O', loss of turn (inning).

Black potted during a run is only worth 1 point regardless the run count, black potted last is 8-points, one shot only, because you missed the opener.

PINK: (foot spot) is a no point ball if potted, use to any advantage, keep a run going, combo's, kiss and so forth, if potted, must re-spot.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

...maaan, my apologies,
I understand, "cushion and a rail for a good hit", would be hard to follow.
Corrected, all normal now, you got this.

may be hard to tell from here,
this is what the O ru'l set looks like in Major mode, similar to the skewed 45-degree mode.

...so far, I've had a run of 6 balls after an opening good hit.

C24b.jpg

...after getting out legally with a 5 ball run included, scored 28.
A perfect runout is 110 for this plot.

Have a 50" set in the making, same as the other ones: in minor mode, painted poplar, maple index's, same price.

I think it’s a device that helps you set up and replicate the same “outs” or ball position exactly to manage your practice consistency. But I could be completely wrong. OP explains it like we’ve all used it or that its use is common knowledge to everyone. Not a lot of context included. Maybe I’m out of the loop? 🤔

I don't even think the OP knows what's going on.

I feel like jusnumb has a new screen name

...no, no, good on all points.
It's a language connector, not quite A.I., but close...
"Work In Progress" has a plot title sound to it. (WIP)
