BCA 9 Ball now in San Diego

I finally was able to "create" the time to promote & organize a 9 Ball Division for my Metro BCA Pool league (which is 8 ball). We had our "start up" meeting last night to vote on some miscellaneous items/rules and play will start next Wednesday.

We're starting with 9 teams - 3 teams each at College Billiards, On Cue Billiards & Nice Rack Billiards. We are going to start with "race to 5" but will revisit that if time is a factor. The 3 pool halls have all very kindly agreed to give us the necessary tables at no charge & I really stressed the importance of "supporting the establishments by buying food & drink and making it a point to practice at your home location"

BONUS - Pedro Piedrabuena is a partner in College Billiards. He won the Panamerican CPB Championship and will be going to Switzerland in November for the Worlds.

He will be playing on the College Billiards #1 team (I'm thinking the other teams will be playing for 2nd place !!!!) :)

Put me on the sub list!!!! Oh wait a minute, I only WISHED that I lived in San Diego. That would be quite a commute from El Paso for a night. Oh well, sounds like fun and kudos to you for doing something in your "spare" time LOL. GOOD LUCK

So, I'm thinking you would like to sub on Pedro's team :grin: You can always come to San Diego for a "business" meeting :)

Spare time - what is that :eek: I run a BCA 8 ball league (& play), another 8 ball $$$$ league (& play) & also play on 2 other $$$ leagues and 1 APA night (I know, I know - I have my reasons for that one)

I need to get retired soon so I will have more time for pool :grin:

I have a website that is still a "work in progress" www.sandiegopoolzone.com

I have not given my web guy (a pool buddy) the info on the new Division because I wanted to make sure it was going to get off the ground. It will be on Wednesday nights, play will begin at 7pm.

Are you local ?? We do have 1 "BYE" slot available if you are interested (3 person teams). We start next Weds 9-16-09

Yea im local live in S E san diego. Would love to join ur league but unfortunately i work wed nights. Wish you all the luck tho. Hopin its a success.

My BCA 8 ball Division plays on Thursday nights - let me know if you are interested in that :)
