From what I understand the potential HOFer must be at least 40 years old. There are a couple of catagories you can go on as a player, service to the sport/industry and Ithink that all of your examples are taken into consideration. Jerry Forsyth and Mike Howerton I think are part of the voting so they will prob chime in on this and doa better job of explaining.

Thank you very much for this info VOODOO,U also T wheels!

To me,there seems to b alot of names missing, but hey iam just a fan, what do i know?

The BCA is an industry-driven organization. It's a political machine. You will never see legendary players like Ronnie Allen, Cornbread Red, Jimmy Reid, Larry Lisciotti, or Louie Roberts inducted in the BCA's Hall of Fame.

Well if this is the case, then it does not mean much to me about being in the BCA,HOW CAN THESE guys not belong(cause they gamble or drank, hustle)so ur telling me Keith McCready will never be there either, all i get it Jam,u got to be upper esclon to be included, well screw that,i will take my McCreadys, roberts, lisciottis, reid and cornbread, and all others(that they cant accept, bca)AND HAVE A LOT MORE HISTORY ON MY SIDE!

Difficulty of Election

FWIW, in most sports, are reserved for the legendary players or performers. (You could certainly make the case that it's that way, most of the time.) I believe the BCA has focused in the past on those who have made large contributions to the game (meritorious service), and the best players.

Based on the small numbers of people in the HOF, I'd have to say this may be the most difficult one to be elected into. (The LPGA has been considered, for many years, the most difficult based on criteria.) There are some incredible players not on the list.

Do all those players you mentioned belong in the pool HOF? I can certainly make the case they should. As JAM said, though, this is an industry group and it is horribly subjective.

Will some, in the future? I hope so! Now that the annual event and dinner is the US Open 9 Ball Championships, I've taken to going to it. I'd love to see Keith inducted. What an event that would be!
