I hope I didn't miss it. I just got word via e-mail that Drake Bell is going to be on "Regis and Kelly." It's on right now, between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m., EST.

Note Bene: This post may be non-pool related, but Robin Dodson sure is pool-related.

Hard work and the pursuit of excellence must be a family trait! :)

Thanks for the kind words. I kind of miss the tournament trail myself, especially all of the great pool folks I have been fortunate to meet, like you, Railbird! :)

Drake Bell is coming on RIGHT NOW after the commercial!

Drake performed "I Know" with a full band and back-up singers.

He was wearing a Guns-n-Roses shirt, and his hair style reminded me of the Beatles, very healthy looking, long sideburns, and shiny.

The song he wrote and performed was upbeat. Drake was playing the piano and singing at the same time. GREAT performance.

Regis said Drake is a favorite with many currently, an up and rising star.

The 29th of December last year, Drake was involved in a head-on collision auto accident in which he broke his jaw in three places, knocked out six teeth, and had horrible injuries, but he's doing fine now.

He's been on Seinfeld and had a speaking role with Tom Cruise as well.

Kelly said he is "quite a musician" and sounded like John Lennon, and as well, he is a favorite in Kellly's household. Drake replied and said that, in fact, John Lennon and Paul McCartney were influences in his life as he was developing his music career.

Now after the commercial, he is going to sing another song!:)

Drake was great. Robin should be proud. Most of the solo he was doing got cut off for the end of the show here. In a few more months he'll be making more money in a month that most make in a lifetime of pro pool. Johnnyt

Good to see you back and posting. Sorry if I caused you any trouble. I know your hiatus was due to some unruly posters and I usually fall into that category.

Your leave of absence from AZ caused quite a stir on socalpooltalk and even got me a death threat from Shorty! But alas! It has made me an official member of the Golden Posse! I don't know exactly what the hell that means but, it was funny.

Anyway, glad your back!

I told Robin she will be walking down the red carpet at the Grammy's with Drake. That kid has talent! He also has a good head on his shoulders. Could be because of his mama!

PS - The speaking role with Tom Cruise was in none other than "Jerry McGuire". He was also in the remake of "Yours, Mine and Ours".
