Im putting my money on Joanne Ashton for ladies grand masters singles.:D

Jimmy, is she shooting? I thought they weren't doing leagues anymore.

Well, I would like to see our household sweep Masters Women, Grand Masters Men, Masters Scotch Doubles and Masters Team, but I am sure there are other Master players who might have something different to say about it. :D

My husband is Michael Zimmerman (not the cuemaker) and on his team is Dan Louie, Todd Marsh, Eddie Mataya, and Tim Tweedell.

I'm hoping that they do well.

She thinks it's funny that I'm not a Grand Master, but hey, I haven't done well even in the Masters, even though I got 7th-8th in Masters Scotch Doubles last year with a different partner and 4th in Open Team (I was the only Master on the team.) We'll give it a go again this year, but maybe I can drop down to the Open, where I will probably go out in 2, lol.

Anyway, seriously for Grand Master Women, I like Tammie or Joanne or Julia Gabriel.

For Men's Grand Master, the English players took the 3 top spots. I wonder if they will return this year?

I like Cindy Sliva to win the Women's Open and Eddie Mataya for the Men's Open if they are playing; I will have to check if and what events they are playing in.

Don't have a clue about teams.

We've got a pretty good team from Central Cali going, they will be called 209 Inc...They will be playing in the Masters Division.....Justin Whitehead, Tinsley Johnson, Mike Mitchell, Paul Juarez and Nick Hewko, pretty strong team but so is the rest of the division! Good luck to all..........Marc

BCA 8-Ball Nationals

Any player that pays the fee to join BCA and wants to play singles can elect to play Masters or Grand Masters without qualifying through league.

As far as who is going to win, that is an interesting question. I hope that my partner & I can hold our own again this year in masters scotch doubles, if so, we have a chance. I also like Connie Jo & Faro and Ike & Amy, if they play again. Masters Womens Singles, I got to think that I am nowhere near a favorite. My motivation is lacking when there is no one depending on me. :p I like those Spanish ladies, they are all business...they whipped the crud out of me last year, not sure if they got moved up to grand master though. Caroline Pao has been playing pretty solid as well. Teams, no superstar mens teams from Dallas this year, couple of solid teams, but don't think they will win without a good draw, might have a chance to place high. One decent girls team in the Womens Open...I happen to be playing on that one, definitely a chance to place high.

I think you do just fine in singles Tara ,keep the faith.May the pool gods be with ya.;) :D

St Louis will once again be represented in the Masters defending their title. Young Guns.

Justin Bergman, Chuck Ralston, Lars Vardaman, Andy Quinn, Joe Woolford all playing in Master's Singles as well.

Joe Woolford & Julia Gabriel are playing Master's Scotch doubles. Strong team. Andy Quinn & Chantel Davis playing in Master's Scotch doubles & could surprise as well.

I'll be in Open Singles looking to have a good time.

Check out BILLIARDS DIGEST, May Issue Page 18 for my take on this year's BCA.
