BCA Texas State Tournament March 13-16

Nice try MR>

It wasn't Evvander, you tripped over a spot shot.

Actually Evander might have done it? He was at the same hotel training for a fight.

My son-in-law was in the elevatoe with him and said to my daughter "I'd hate to get hit by him". Evander turned and said "I don't hit nobody for free" :D

I ran into him to and jokingly asked if he wanted to go a couple rounds. I don't think he was very intimidated though.

No promotion needed???

Although on one hand I agree that there isn't much PR on this tournament, on the other hand....does there need to be?

If you play BCA leagues in TX for any amount of time than you know there is a state tournament about the same time every year. The state tournament and the Nationals in Vegas are what everybody looks forward to.

If you were registered with the BCAPL you would receive email notifications which were sent out a long time ago.

Your league operator should have sent something out about it too, or at least have info about it.

I'll bet that most league players in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and DFW know about.

What's up with Waco ??

BTW, Ray I didn't even know you were still playing league pool.

Do you still see Bud Light commercials? I guess they don't really need to promote their beverage, but they want to ensure your thinking about downing a cold one. They want the most exposure possible.

Posting a little announcement was shorter than your post about not posting one.

Bad call Steve!

BCA Question???????????????

:D Just a shot in the dark here! Does anyone know if there is a BCA league in or around the Austin area that plays on Monday or Tuesday nights? I just moved to the San Marcos area, and want to get on a team in hopes to qualify and go to Nationals :D :D and also I need the practice.

I play in a league in Austin and never heard about it. In fact, we're over half way through our second season and still haven't received our membership stuff. I'm starting to wonder if it's a legitimate league...

Only of the singles events... no photos were taken during the team events. (sorry)
Those were some nice pictures!

So, does anyone know who won the Men's team event? I know the Women's was taken by the Austin team, can't remember the name, but the one with Michelle R. and Cristina D.

I'm a player in BCAPL and I referee for the BCAPL. I keep in touch with Robert Tabor (Texas BCAPL President) on a regular basis because I work most of the BCAPL events and The Southwest Amatuer Tournaments (SWAT) in Texas.

I will pass your post on to Robert so he can investigate why some of the league operators are not keeping the players informed. Our league operators put out a flyer in our weekly packets in Jan.

1. The BCA State is almost always in Late Feb or early March

2. Go to the BCAPL website and look under "upcoming events" http://www.playbca.com/Events/UpcomingEvents/tabid/204/Default.aspx

Hopefully you'll be at the next S.W.A.T. in July

The BCAPL is a good orginazation.

If you don't already have your packet and membership card, check with your League Op to see if they even sent them in.

I don't have first hand knowledge and I don't play in your league, but it could be that reason.

BCAPL may be waiting to send out Player Packets since I think they are revising the new rules.

A little bit of a shock

I was actually a little bit shocked at the teams playing Sunday.

The Tribe from Austin playing a team from the Houston area (Forgive me for forgetting the name) for the hot seat.

And the one loss side with CueTech, The Corporation, Texas Express and the eventual winners No Names.

On paper, TX Express looked pretty tuff
