Be Careful Not Picking Larry Nevel

When Larry lived in Chicago, he would show off his draw stroke. It was really fun to watch. He would also do jump shots one handed. Larry would also challenge people to running races and give odds. He once beat Efren in One Pocket when Kalamazoo was hosting that event too.

> I had heard about a shot that Larry was said to make regularly,so I asked him to shoot it for me at a tournament, and he made this shot 5 times in a row. The first diagram is how I shoot it,the second is Larry.

This shot is accomplished with a low, inside draw stroke, and a heavy but fluid follow-thru. This is a heavily spin-driven shot, and the hit on the frozen object ball is very full and rail-first. I can reliably draw it off 3 rails and usually back to the middle of the table, but note where the cue ball is,and note where it is in the next diagram.

> The cue ball is just over a balls width off the end rail, and he drew it far enough uptable after coming off 3 rails that he scratched more often than not. He added that I caught him at a bad time when he was just warming up for the day, when he's really in stroke he said he can do this shot reliably with the cue ball FROZEN. There is a video of him bridging out of a corner pocket,to an object ball almost table length away on a 7 foot Diamond and drawing his cue ball straight back and back up past the side pocket with an X-Breaker. I'd also like to add that he looks like Mr. Clean. Tommy D.

Commentators mentioned busta and souquet have the biggest break and run percentages, busta has 50 break and runs!

No suprise then their % are way up there

In late 90s larry beat Efren in the winner`s bracket final in the US Open one pocket on Diamond tables held in radisson hotel in kalamazoo,Michigan. 8-9 years ago he used to rock the viking tour

That shows the guy can play patterns.8 Ball patterns on 9 foot table are silly and juvenile compared to one pocket. On a bar box it is adiferent story:cool:

I heard John Kucharo was THE king of the power stroke AND the break shot. I believe in an Accustats tape, it was either Grady or Danny D. that said Kucharo's break made Bustamante's look like childsplay (or something like that). I hope Kucharo fully gets back in stroke, he should do well on this slow cloth.

John Kucharo came to WI and played in our state tounament. WI master players beat him like a little girl.I was not that impressed.Larry Nevel on the other hand won the tounament. This was 2 years ago.Larry gets better every day.He won the state tounament this year to in straight pool and in 9 ball. The guy runs out from any where.I see him make the object ball this year in the state tounament jump over the ball in front of it into the pocket as he ran out the rack.I was giving him crap and he did it 3 more times. Who even thinks of shots like that.I also seen him jump a cue ball off a table masse around 2 bar stools and make the cue ball in a cup 40 ft away.I seen him do this 5 or 6 times.Larry going to win big here some time soon look for him to do well.He got his tour card now woohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i dont think larry has a tour card i still think hes got to qualify for the events but i know he already quaified for the reno event couple of weeks ago
