Beasley 9-Ball Open - Brackets & Results?

I am a more than a little peeved by the ease with which Chris and Shasta can ask for info and not share when they have it.

Lame.

Not Lame at all... when one does NOT have any info to share to start with... reason I asked for the brackets in the first place was because I was asking or made my orig post... so again you are mistaken... almost all the tournaments that have pros at the event have brackets posted... many people who even paid for the stream were upset that they didn't see brackets... & YES I did call the place holding event but the person I talked with said they didn't know anything... so YES I tried & so now you don't need to be peeved anymore... lol

Also... Thanks Nick for the link for final 8... :-)

I attended this event a couple nights. On Friday night I watched a great match between Rodney and Neils it went hill/hill with Rodney winning. About 20 minutes later I am sitting at the bar when Neils walks up next to me to get a drink. The bartender gets his order and Neils tells him he has a credit card on file. Without batting any eye the bartender looks at him and asks what his name is? I immediately look at Neils when he tells him his name and said. " rough night, first you lose on the hill to Rodney then the bartender doesn't even know who you are?" Neils burst out laughing and said "yeah things are getting tough." We both laughed and chatted for a minute. Life has it's moments.

I also watched the infamous/famous Asia Cy play a match against Omar Al Shaheen. He has to be the most likeable pool player I've ever met. What a happy fun guy, he always seems to be enjoying life. Anyway he beat Asia 9-0 not much fun for her, but that's the way it goes.

Wraps up today but I cannot make it down. Overall a fun event with some very talented players!

Alex Kazakis over Alex Pagulayan 13-10 in the finals. 1st place purse $5,000, 1st place Calcutta purse $8,000.

From what I read, it went like this:

Pagulayan d. Kazakis 9-6 (hot seat)

Roberts d. Aranas 9-5 (4th)

Kazakis d. Roberts 9-7 (3rd)

Kazakis d. Pagulayan 13-10 (Finals)

Nice 3rd place finish for Josh Roberts with impressive wins over Woodward, Chohan, Kaci and Aranas and a narrow loss to Kazakis - in fact both his losses were to Kazakis. I guess he's not just a bar table player, and needs to be seriously considered for our Mosconi Cup team.
