Eevryone Is Entitled To Their Opinion
As a new member, welcome to the Forum...........you're getting a 'small" taste of what the Forum can become when you venture into the jungle and try petting the lions.........don't quarrel with posters about your cue or price......it is what it is.......your cue sells or it doesn't sell...........rest assured that anyone that owns a Scruggs cue is hoping that you to get your price.....I know I am........if your cue is worth anywhere near what you're asking, then my gorgeous Scruggs cue just jumped up substantially in price/value........I hope you score your price but be prepared for choppy seas.
With the sole exception of a couple of Tim Scruggs Bushka Tribute cues that are on Lucky's website, I've yet to see any Scruggs, or Scruggs/Mike Cocoran made cue even list in your asking price range but that doesn't mean it won't happen. I've read that Scruggs cues in Japan command unusually high prices and perhaps that can happen here stateside. After all, before July 20, 1969, walking on the moon must have seemed pretty far fetched to many folks.
My taste in Scruggs cues runs a little different than your cue and I prefer Tim's classic look of ebony sharp points/veneers/inlays and I really enjoy playing with my -06 Scruggs cue almost as much as my Mottey cue. Regardless, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and I'll be following your thread to see how you fare since I didn't have to pay anywhere near what your did for your cue. So stay the course and promote your cue and asking price.
Despite that I've never had any desire to sell my Scruggs cue, if you wind up selling your cue in your asking price range, then I'm going to list my Scruggs cue for a couple of grand more than what I actually paid. Best of luck with your thread..........every Scruggs cue owner out there is rooting for you to get your very best price.
