So I’ve been away from pool for about eight years or so. It was my main pastime. I loved playing and watching youtube videos of the pros. I was a player and a fan. Priorities shifted and I decided to try school again (obligatory “go Bruins”). School and work took up so much of my time that I think I maybe picked up a cue about a dozen times, and only once did I bring out my own cues outside of their case. Other hobbies came, but I always considered myself a pool player. Now that places are starting to open back up, I really want to start playing pool again.
I lost contact with all my pool playing friends and now live in a different area. Before I go to the pool hall with a sign saying “play me”, I thought I’d give this a try.
Anyone in the Los Angeles area want to play some? I’m not really looking to gamble, just play. We can split table time. I live in the South Bay, but I'm willing to go out and about. I’m in my early thirties, have cue, and will travel. I’m also getting my second shot this week. Back when I did play, I was a SL5/SL6 in APA 8/9 ball. My stroke might need some work, but I like to think I still have some of the knowledge. I shot a few balls over the weekend, and I’m probably a C- player. I beat the 3 ball ghost on occasion. Playing with balls is more fun when you're not alone.
