I only hope that with all the disagreements on CTE and Pro One, reguarless of it's effectiveness, that the instructions of it will not be put up on a site or made public for everyone to see. I think this would be unfair to Stan, and all the peope that are willing to sacrafice there hard earned money, and believe in Stan enough to purchase his product.

Most people that have the information either worked for it, or they
went to a qualified instructor to learn it. It is something that requires
a player to work at. The naysayers that doubt it can only show diagrams
and thats not going to help much. They can only post an explanation.
I dont believe it was invented by Hal, but was passed on to him and i wouldnt be surprised if went back into the late 1800's and from europe...ijs

Randy , I totally agree that instructors such as yourself , Stan , or Scott are certainly entitled to compensation for your time when you teach .
And anyone producing and distributing instructional DVDs is certainly entitled to the profits from their sale.
However, the OP was suggesting that it was unfair to share the KNOWLEDGE because it deprives Stan of the profits from "his" system .
Using HIS logic , you should send Hal a royalty check for use of his "intellectual property" every time you teach a class . . .
I don't deny you the right to make a living - but I also don't deny anyone the right to share knowledge (not copyrighted materials) once they have come by it legally .
I once used a Haynes manual to learn to set the points on a Sportster .
20 years later , I showed my buddy how.

I agree with you completely but I don't think it is going to matter, some one will boot leg them before too long. It seems some people are always looking for ways to make a buck off the hard work and determination of others. Every product that is marketable will sooner or later fall prey to these people even if some one wanted to go to the expense of a Copy Right or Trade Mark.
Look at all the small cue lathes, Cues, Cases, and anything else billiards related out there, a single person had a good idea and others copied the designs because there was no trade mark. I really think it sucks and I believe that sooner or later that this type of behavior will come back to bite those who do it.
Well I am off my soap box, I think this is a good thread that should be read and thought about and like you said, I hope Stan doesn't have to deal with this shit.
