Ok, I've been told by at least a dozen players that the entries are in the mail. I also heard from a few locals who haven't been playing they are paying this week. Could fill up fast

Entries updated on page 1... up to 61... 17 new entrys today

Looks like cold & clear for the weekend weather so great driving weather ;)

Doors open at 10:00 am Saturday morning for free practice on tournmanet tables. Lights out & shooting on tournament tables stops at noon for calcutta. Bring some extra cash and buy a few horses in the calcutta. First round matches called immediately at the conclusion of the calcutta (before 2 pm).

Prediction?

Duane,

Take a wild guess how many players there will be. I'll say 91 with a +/- margin of 5.

Entries updated on page 1... now up to 93

For those who want to play but have not paid yet... don't despair! Typically not everyone manages to show up. Being on the pre-paid waiting list often times gets you into the tourney. But, be on the list early.

Still three guaranteed spots left and the early birds on the pre-paid list have a good shot at playing too :)

So the 96 is full and several on the pre-paid waiting list as well

Seems everyone likes the 8-ball tourneys with the consistent big turnouts. Should we open up the field further?? The race is going to be 5/4 and I don't want to go any shorter.

Open to suggestions...

Duane no offense but when you run a great tourney like that one no matter how big the field gets it will be full regardless. I think you have the races right. Take a good hard look and see if you can make it to the money on Saturday with 128, if not I think your LARGE 96 man fields are just fine. Besides do you guys really have that many more under cover champs up there.

Mikey, thanks for the comments.

After some heated discussions the tournament committee has decided to try a 1-time increase and allow up to 112 players. That's right, 16 more guaranteed spots in the tourney. The normal payouts will be increased from 16 to 24 for the tourney field. Added money will be prorated as always with a max of $1750 for 112 players.

I have 11 players for the 16 spots so far... Five spots left before the waiting list kicks in!!

Forecast for Saturday: Clear with the chance of a big calcutta.

I hope you are right :grin-square:

Although I don't have names to post I will say I received a text earlier that the 112 was full plus 3 on the waiting list. I'm sure they are all under-rated world beaters flying under the radar. If I were a betting man I'd be there for the calcutta ;)

This is a one-time Christmas special. Maybe if we get more entries Dave might open up to 128???

Gonna be a great weekend in Beloit

Bring your "A" game or else money for the calcutta!! This one will be worth winning.

Happy Holidays :)

Apparently lots more phone calls & mail today

Anyone want to volunteer to play on the 9' footers?? We did a separate 16-player field before to satisfy the overflow. If that interests you please let us know when you check-in

Dropped a couple of players but added even more... 127 currently paid

128 is the absolute max. Our tournament software and paper brackets will be full.

I will update the entries in a couple of minutes.

Tournament updates will be provided tomorrow afternoon after we get going. Thanks for all the interest :)
