Bergman vs. Bustamante?

What is Bergman's talent ranking among U.S. players?

if you include talent that is somewhat unfulfilled i would rate justin hall very high. also billy thorpe. but what's the point of that? the best two players in the US are also the most diligent practice players..

Too bad it was 8 ball on a toy table. Why not 10 ball on a Bigfoot?
Probably because Bigfoots aint easy to find, especially if one of the players isn't keen on traveling.
Get used to the "toy tables" the ratio of 7' to 9' tables increases every year in favor of the "toy table".

You are mistaken. You assume because it's raining outside your trailer park it's raining everywhere. The world is a big place. With the exception of about 30 US States the standard is not bar box. Globally nobody is moving to that. MR is setting the standard and that will drive the future.

Tavern pool is a diversion to sell more beer. Not the future.

play what you make is more skill as you now may have to use the best skillful ways to get out or play the rack instead of having an open rack with a choice. choice makes 8 ball like a crash break in straight pool and having to run an open rack.

but yea, nine ball and eight ball as played is way too easy for the pro's. and no fun to watch.
But KIM....with these rules, Many games begin with board play. And take allot longer.

Not so sure about Busti. i watched him a lot on Filipino streams and he's still playing at a very high level.
And since hezzzzzzzzz in the mix/happy/playing/ ''swingin' it''.
He's likely playing a little better each mth.

I was referring to the USA since that is where this tournament took place and kinda the subject of this thread.

True, I can see it.

I guess the part I was thinking of is his style of play. Powerful. Intimidating. He’s still got it.

I hate to break the news to you, but 30 US States is 60% of the US States. In the US, 7' tables are arguably the "standard".

Just saying.
Well your "standard" doesn't produce results. Go down the list and find me all the bar box champions. At this rate the USA will be replaced with Poland for the Mosconi cup.

Playing Vending machine pool doesn't produce real players.
