Best Amateur/Semi-Pro Players in Your State

"without a doubt, the best amatuer player in virginia would be Chris Loar............he plays at a pro speed but doesn't play for a living so i'd say he's still considered an amatuer. 17 place at the US Open last year is pretty strong........."

Vapoolplayer,

Chris just won the TAP 5-6-7 singles 8 ball tournament yesterday in VF. I saw him beat a local favorite from my area 5-3 in the semi's. I think first was $2200. I saw him hit a jump shot from about 2 1/2 ft where he cut the ball in the corner then came around two rails straight on the eight. One of the best shots I've seen in person.

I think that is 2 VF wins for Chris in the last 2 years. I agree he is the best in VA and he is the 2004Staate Champ for 9b too.

Illinois.......James Baraks, Jesse Bowman, Marco Marquez (sp?).

Don't forget Jaimey Bowman(Jesse's older brother). Tommy Hernandez is pretty good too. Also Josh Johnson is right up in there.

Yes they are, very well, as I'm sure you know. Great people too. Their dads name is also Redante; he has done a great job with his kids being a single parent.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know the dad was a single parent!! Wow! They seem like such great kids too! Redante, the dad, likes to play too huh? I saw him yesterday at the Jointed Cue trying to match up. I'll bet he plays pretty sporty too.
