That's the kid for sure. He may have been shooting way over his head, but I don't believe there has ever been a bank pool set played any better (aggressively) than he played last year at the Derby.

Louis Coulquert, (we called him Chicago Louie around here) had a bit of a game back about 30 or so years ago.

Old John Henry in Detroit still can make a ball once in a while too.

What about another Owensboro native? Russ Matthews. Unless I missed it scanning through the posts.

Even Games?

I played Ronnie 9 to 7 in LA. We quit after he called a bad hit on me. If he really liked the game he would have gave in and given me the shot. Sigel did beat me once in Miami. We played again in Chicago and he quit after 3 in a row and an 8 and out. Fargo, I also respected and avoided, but over the years he is 0 for 3 with me.

Freddy,
When you played Sigel and Fargo, were you playing even?

There were few humans that spotted me playing banks --when I was playing. Mike Sigel wasnt one of them. I took a ball from Bugs, CornBread and Cannonball. I also periodically played them even. In one of his 3 losses, Fargo did give me a ball. The way I look at it, bragging dont count if you were getting a spot. I dont think a whole lot about beating a guy in a tournament either, although a full rack bank tournament means a hell of a lot more than 11 out of 21 9 ball.
