Best break cue for the money?

Predator BK is a good break cue, alot of pro's use them that are not sponsered. I hate Predator cues as main shooters, so this is not a Predator fanboy statement either, they make a great break cue and IMO and I dont care for their shooters or shafts at all.

I one of these days will finally get the break cue I want built though. 17 ounce, 13.5mm tip, 57 inches and a very even balance. Noone builds that, but it would crush the balls like no other cue for me, I have come close on bar cues to it, without the tip size.

Curious to know from the Mace users, are you guys/girls using it with the original tips or have you switched to a phenolic tip or something else? My Mace's tip is starting to mushroom a little and it really doesn't affect the break, but I was thinking about putting a new tip on it.

Bouoght a new Mace from Rick while at a tourney in Mobile, AL. Had the phonolic tip when I got it. Shot with it a few times and had him put on a LePro. Much better. Also dropped weight from 18.5 to 17.4, Now awesome, at least for me.

just any $20-50 sneaky pete would be the best for the money. get a hard flat tip. IMO anything else is BARELY noticeable.

If you want a j/b that plays as well as it jumps and breaks I would suggest the Gilbert J/B! Verry good playing cue and it gets the job done breaking and jumping. Retail, depending on wood type, is typically around $350.

It has been said that a light weight cue is best for breaking. I took the weight bolt out of an old cue I had laying around and put a x-hard Talisman tip on it. Breaks great.
