Best break cue

fury

i like the fury break cue and i play with the fury rp series playing cue.great cues for great prices .

the break cue has phenolic tip, quick release joint, quick release jump cut.it beaks and jumps great also comes standard with leather very tacky wrap. i think they are great break jump cues.

As far as what the running favorites are the :BK2, Mezz PB2, Sledgehammer, Jericho Stinger, X-breaker are among the top 5 best break cues.

Now personally I have hit the BK2 which does get raved about the most and I swear for me it didn't break any better then my J&J break cue with Samsara tip. Actually I found my break was weaker with the BK2. That's just me others will have different results. The BK2 was very nice and very smooth a solid. I just can't justify paying $300 for a cue that doesn't do anything more for me then the $75 cue I got now.

Some custom cue makers probably could build a really nice break cue with heavier woods in the butt and shafts made of heavier or lighter woods (Purple heart or Ash) it's hard to know where to rate those.

Most important of all with the break, if you have a very level stroke, and you can generate as much speed as possible while keeping control of the Cue ball and having it hit flush to the head ball of the rack you'll break just fine with a $5 or $500 cue.

The only people that I think should own a break cue are the people that break like Mike Sigel (bend the cue into the table) or people that can consistently kill the cueball in the middle of the table while hitting it 27+ MPH.

There are two pieces you are missing about break cues. One is that some people need help generating power. Im a personal believer in a heavier break cue, since more control can be acheived at slower speeds, but either way the combination of needing a harder tip, or different weights (maybe lighter, maybe heavier - either way it might not match your player), or even a different taper doesn't always lend itself to using the same player as a break cue. The two different cues are attempting to acheive 2 different objectives. It may be that you can best acheive both objectives by using the cue that is most familar to you, it may not.

The other piece is that your tip gets hard from breaking with it. For people who like hard tips, that's great but a soft or a medium will change quite a bit. I had a medium Moori that I broke with for a while on my P2 and while I should have replaced it sooner, when I finally did I realized how much that changed the way the cue played. I just don't agree that not having a break cue is best for most people.

Your point about control is well taken, though. My next jump/break cue (I sent back a Sniper because the taper was so strong and the shaft was too big) will definately have a Samsara tip on it and a pro taper (leaning toward a Posion cause of the similarity to Predator, only it will have a xtra hard tip). I'll take the small loss in power for a shaft that I can put a nice stroke on, and a tip I can control a bit better.
