I've of course heard that Jackie Gleason was a good player, and that Paul Newman gained some skills during filming of "the Hustler". I also heard that Peter Faulk enjoyed playing and his Columbo character always seemed to notice when the villian du jour had a table in his home. Are there many other notables from hollywood, politics or sports that knew their way around a table? There's a whole world of billiard experience on this forum so if anyone knows, you guys must. Just out of curiousity, who are (or were) the best?

Let's see Manny Pacquiao vs. Mark Kendall. A good match up here. Manny would try to bet sky high and make Mark quiver. Mark would opt for a slightly smaller bet, maybe a thousand a set. And then he would rob him.

Mark is about one full speed above Manny. That's how I handicap them. If they play even, Mark is a pretty good favorite.

Don't know if he's any good though, but it earned him a little more respect from me(die hard drag racer) knowing he at least shoots pool.

A few years ago ( I think Daytona 05), Stewart caused a bit of a stir because he was hanging with Shannon when they say he should have been at the track getting ready for the 500.
