Best chicken wing shooters?

AJ Manas actually has a reverse chicken wing.

Seems like a lot of sharp shooters have that (such as Seo Seoa in women's pool), but very few have an actual, outward flaring chicken wing. I speculate it's because the latter inherently leads to a pronated wrist, while even Billy Thorpe with his ridiculous reverse chicken wing is able to keep a nice wrist alignment.
Agreed. You see a lot of reverse chicken wing arm positions with the elbow tucked inward among strong players, even some very pronounced ones, but almost never pronounced ones where the elbow is flared out wide.

iirc buddy hall instructed the wrist position like that in his VHS.

I wonder how many chicken wings are alignment corrections to having a vision center favoring the inside eye.

Like maybe one option is a more pitched shoulder position and no chicken wing. And another option is a more square body posture but offset with a chicken wing.

My chicken wing was the result of what felt like "naturally" having my cue aligned with my chin/vision center was like.

I've had a chicken wing for my entire pool life. It feels so strange having a straight forearm now that my arm twists and twitches. So I'm trying to study the stroke of great players that had a pronounced, not slight, outward chicken wing stroke. Any players yall can think of?
McCready.

Old snooker pro Nigel Bond has a pretty pronounced chicken wing.

Here is the video this is from. He has some other videos on YouTube.

I think that Lee Vann would be a very difficult player to model your stroke after. Some examples here:
It's not so much modeling I'm going for. We already have a similar form (flat shoulders, chicken wing etc) I'm just checking to see how similar shooting players keep a straight stroke throughout the entire shooting motion.

I'm curious -- how well do you play currently? In an evening of nine ball, how many break and runs do you have?
I don't play much 9 ball. Play mostly banks and 8 ball and slowly picking up one pocket. I'm not a great player by any means, just love the game and always trying to improve. But my elbow position has always tripped me up. Tried fixing it to straight for a long time but my body thinks straight is crooked and won't stroke in a straight line. Chicken wing and a stroke slip takes care of all my problems on med- hard shots, but slower, touch shots bring my problems back up.

Me too, that's how my body naturally sets up. Would have saved me a lot of trouble if someone told me about pulling your shoulder back when I learned to shoot. Any tips on keeping a straight shooting motion with a chicken wing? Specifically on softer/ touch shots?
