Best Cue for a Beginner

Man, I just got into this game about 3-4 months ago and was told not to start with a cheap cue..So I started with a 500 dollar Joss cue..Was that a mistake guys??

Not a mistake at all. You got yourself a solid cue. You could have spent less for a comparable cue, but as long as you like the cue, you are fine. Nothing you can do about it now.

i typically avoid buying used on forums that i know the users are mostly american because most people wont want to deal with shipping across the boarder, but ill give it a try... dont think a sob story about me being a broke student will do anything though... thanks for all the advice so far guys

Whatever cue you buy as a beginner you should start out playing with a soft tip because in that extra split second of contact a bad stoke with become more obvious. JMHO

I would not buy a used cue unless I could see it first. Remember one mans treasure is another mans junk.

Not necessarily true. I know that a lot of the sellers here will offer money back if the buyer is not happy with the cue.
