Pls chime in. Who makes the best custom joint protectors?
Jim is great but Alton is better (cuecaps).
Yup, Alton's stuff is way over the top and in a class by itself.Alton Takata is top of the line for joint protectors.
Jim Baxter is doing some real nice stuff, but his "target market" is on a generally different level than Alton's.
My opinion...had experience with all of them...
Alton is best quality for sure but it is expencive .I would pick him if you need JP for bigger cue...like BB,Tasc,Szamboti...
Jim Baxter is second best,medium range,good quality,confident,trustfull.
Lonnie Willber is third. Aka pipe 1976.
Stand up guy,confident also .Great protectors for the money!!! But i must say it is not for high end cues.There is diffrence between his protectors and Altons .
Also i must say...Lonnie is far best option if you have cue for 1500 usd or less!!!
