Best custom joint protectors

I think it depends on what you want. But I don't think I've ever seen heard or read anything bad about Jim Baxter's stuff. The ones I've seen are top of the line

Another vote for Jim Baxter, amazing stuff.

CueCaps

I am Pretty Sure it's Well known by most here that when it comes to Custom Caps
there are a few really good makers on Az who do a nice job. For the few people on here that don't know who
THE BEST is....It's Alton Takata...aka.....CueCaps...Here on Az.

Just My Opinion....But I'm Pretty Sure I'm Not Alone

Thanks.........Paul

Jim is great but Alton is better (cuecaps).

Alton Takada hands down makes the best cue caps (joint protectors) out there. If you know anyone who owns a set you really need to check them out. I've had them both and can testify to it. Check out Alton's website at http://cuecaps.com. Even his website is quality work.

Alton Takata is top of the line for joint protectors.
Jim Baxter is doing some real nice stuff, but his "target market" is on a generally different level than Alton's.

Yup, Alton's stuff is way over the top and in a class by itself.
Jim Baxter will make you some very nice protectors and his price is way right for most of us on here. I buy mine from Jim when I need something special and I've never been disappointed.

My Jim Baxter caps. Great bang for the buck. Jim's a great guy to deal with.

These are two pairs by Jim Baxter. Great guy to deal with.

First is a SugarTree then a Jim Baxter.

Dan Trogdon makes some nice budget priced but nicer than plastic JP's as well. Third picture. Got 3 pairs for sale.

My opinion...had experience with all of them...

Alton is best quality for sure but it is expencive .I would pick him if you need JP for bigger cue...like BB,Tasc,Szamboti...

Jim Baxter is second best,medium range,good quality,confident,trustfull.

Lonnie Willber is third. Aka pipe 1976.
Stand up guy, confident also .Great protectors for the money!!! But i must say it is not for high end cues. There is diffrence between his protectors and Altons .
Also i must say...Lonnie is far best option if you have cue for 1500 usd or less!!!

For sure. If you have a high end cue you want high end joint protectors to match. But either way, both men are excellent to work with. You can't go wrong with either one of them. Stick wth Alton or Jim and you won't be sorry. They both believe in customer satisfaction.

No disrespect to Lonnie, and I like him and understand his situation, but I wouldn't give him anything too special or anything outside of the little Ebay stuff he does.
My order to Lonnie for a dozen basic sets was a total disaster, and it went on & on.
I felt sorry for Lonnie and eventually wrote off the money, and I had a pretty strong warning before I placed the order.
Not trying to be a jerk, I've held back for quite a while on this, but people keep recommending Lonnie, and this is AZ, not Ebay.
