I just landed a job developing video games for the Xbox360 and future consoles... I just wanted to share my joy with you all... I'm going to do my best to make this thread pool-related by saying, "maybe I can convince the company to make a pool game!" Fat chance, but who knows.

Woo-Hoo! I recently, almost a year now got me a cool job too. Hope you got a nice bump in the cashish too! Let us know if we can help getting a cool pool vgame going.

hehe thanks... Of course I cannot speak of unannounced games, I signed an NDA for that. Maybe I'll play you a race to 5 for some secrets...hehe

I just got a job to it's a the titti bar here in town Full nude to. I am a bouncer and get to watch naked chic's all night long. :) :)

Any day any time :D lol But seriously that is awesome though, that sort of job takes a ton of skills, I have the skills at playing games....maybe race to 10 for a word in on a game tester job :)
 
Congrats man!! Sounds like you landed a good one. If you need any volunteer gamers for any new ideas or games, you can count on us here on AZB to make the sacrifice and volunteer. :D

did that gig in two different clubs in two different states....
first one was cool ...free beer and decent tip outs from the dancers.. but it ended up be more trouble than it was worth. long story
Second one was a worse joint but a manager spot.. and the cops were all over the place on stings in every club iin the county... bible belt....and the girls were really sloppy in the way they did their bizz..and the local cursaders.. err law enforcement had the habit of charging the Mangers ofthe places if they "allowed " the deals to happen on their shifts. had to get out of that one kinda quick like......

ahh the good ole days.....

oh yeah congrats on the video game gig

The pay is pretty nice, I have about 8 years professional experience in software development, so that helps keep my salary at a good level at this new job. The company is Volition.

I'm a programmer... Yep, they are still hiring for many positions, they are expanding quite a bit!

I"m going to share a piece of quite personal and classified information with you: I have never played, or even tried to play, any video game of any size, shape, or description. Not even Pac Man.

There.... it's out in the open. No more secrets to hide. No more fear of the shame of it all. I feel better already. :D

I do congratulate you. I didn't mean to belittle your accomplishment or your happiness in any way.

Wow, that's impressive! Now that I can write off games and consoles on my taxes, I'm afraid I'll just start collecting more and more game titles.

On a side note... This is my 256th post, which is of course an important number in my profession! In hex, it's a nice, round "100". Maybe I'll just stop posting. Err, maybe not.
