Best hitting cue you ever played with.

Rauenzahn Double Full Splice. For me, it's the perfect weight, balance and feedback. Jerry delivered exactly what I was looking for.

To this point an ivory jointed/ferrule Tim Scruggs. But, I'm hoping my PFD I have on order plays better.

i bought a Jerry R. Double Splice 360 ..... plays wonderful. i actually prefer the feed back of those shafts over low deflection shafts. i have played with low deflection shafts for most of my years of shooting pool.

starting to think low deflection shafts are a bit over hyped as well. these standard maple shafts plays very well.

Best hitting and playing cue is my Garten Bierbower cue that I currently still own and is the only cue I have owned that I know I will never sell. And i have bought and sold a ton.

its in the tip for me. that one great lepro in the box of 50
a well broke in, hardened up tiger everest
or that ultraskin hh is what makes a great hit to me.
i like to hear a clink or clunk noise, attach something like that to any cue and im lovin it

A good tip is huge

My Schick is the best cue that have have hit more than a few balls with.

I have hit a few balls with a Searing that I liked a lot. But I didn‘t have enough time with it to compare. My first impression is that they were very similar.

I play with an ivory joint Mike Bender, have also played with all kinds of other cues but nothing feels like my bender to me. it is hands down the best I have ever hit with.

Think BEST is what you like in the moment.

BEST could be old faithful junket, or what someone just spent big bucks on.

Cue don’t have to be work of art to play well, but the works of art get more attention.

Diveney w/ Revo 12.9 current

Prior to that an 8 point retired Predator w/ 314-3 shaft felt good. Going back to the 314-3 on the 8 point feels very, very stiff compared to the Diveney.

Ok, here are the rules. Hit is subjective, we all know that. But let's try anyway to compile a list of cues that we think are GREAT playing cues.

The only rule is one vote per person. So think about it and pick the one cue out of all the cues you have been able to shoot with that you would keep if you could only have one of them for the rest of your life.

Now of course you can put in a name of a cue you have never shot with just because you desire to own it and have heard it's a great playing cue but I hope that you will stick with cues that you actually had time to hit balls with for enough time to really get to know the cue.

I will start, and this is a very tough decision for me because I have owned so many great cues. Keep in mind that just because a brand is someone's #1 choice the number 2 might be real close.

But the object here is to see what sort of list we can come up with if you can only have one. I will update this post with a running list and vote count if it gets any traction. Sometime in the future I will tally the votes by brand even though there may be different "eras" and butt/shaft combinations.

My #1 pick is Jensen.

Dufferin Canadian House Cue…

My Lambros hits with more precision than my Capone, Coker, tucker, Josey, Treadway. I haven't had a chance to shoot with all the rest but a Sugartree is next on my list. SW, Bluegrass, Black Boar would be nice but they're out of range.

Had a $40 Showcase SP piloted joint made by Gale Sears.I think he was there about a year. Stolen 6 years later. Still miss it.
