Best Hitting Cues Survey - Please Reply

The best hit and playing cue.

Mike Lambros is by far the best playing cue I have ever played with.

Six years after the start of this thread, and seven years after I joined the
AZB community I have experienced much of the hype, recommendations,
and testimony of the members here on the magic cue.

THERE IS NONE.

As for the 5 dozen + cues I've owned, even if for only a brief moment,
and some of them in the collectors blue chip world of cues,
what is permitted to remain in my cue cabinet are these:

Mike Lambros
Bobby Hunter converted John Davis blank
TAD - 1
Richard Harris plain jane
Murray Tucker
Judd Fuller sneaky pete

and I have a Hercek on order since 2006

What I am curious about are:

Tasc
Tibbitts
Barrenbrugge
Gus

and perhaps one more as my cue cabinet holds 12
 
I've had two cues that I've hit with that I absolutely loved

Lew Stone
Meucci
 
Jackson Custom cues have some of the best shafts out there. My Custom 1 of 1 Woody Woodworth hits amazing.
 
There are several cues named that I have never hit with, are the price range really up there on some of these cues? It is a shame that there is not some way a person can not try them all out. I have owned a lot of cues, and most of them were great playing cues, but for playability, the Black Boar I owned, in my opinion had the best hit of them all.
 
Best hitting cue? To me that reads: Best hitting shaft..
As long as the butt is straight, well built and the pin installed correctly. I would say it is of minor importance compared to the shaft and tip.
So I`ll vote for Exceed, since my shaft fits perfect and I can use an extension with the cue.
The shaft is the important bit, that`s made by Mezz.

So if I can combine Mezz/Exceed, that will be my vote.

BOB OWEN .....the custom he made for me this past May leaves my other cues in the dust.......Wow!
Keep in mind though this cue was built to my exact specifications for the butt & shaft weights & sizes.
I think this undeniably confirms that when you have a cue built the way you want, it always plays better.
