Best Jump/Break Cue?

WOW!!!! I really didn't expect this much feedback on this topic. Thanks for all the input from everybody. Sounds like there are plenty of good break/jumpers around.
Thanks again,

MG is one of the best. Hopefully the Varney I am waiting for will fit in this category as well.

Mike,
My first generation original Sledgehammer warped, the butt's finish chipped away and the wrap is wearing very quickly. I guess i'm just getting tired of the uncontroleable combo of the phenolic tip/ferrule that most J/B cues come with. I think i'm going to give a Mace J/B a try because I can get my hands on one and it has 10X more control than any phenolic tip/ferrule out there but then again, I don't have a problem hitting the balls hard and accuratley. JMHO. -J

I recently purchased a Joe Baker Jump/Break cue from Joe himself.

He asked me if I'd do a little write up on the cue.

This is by far and away THE best hitting break cue I've used. I've tried X-Breaker, Sledgehammer, Predator and probably a few others (All great break cues. I'm not gonna bad mouth any cue) and have been looking for a certain type of break cue in the last few months.

It crushes the rack and jumps balls with ease (A half ball distance from the blocking ball) with canvas phenolic tip.

I'd recommend Joe's break cue's to anyone and he's a great seller to deal with.

Jason
