Oh yeah. Can you do anything with them?

My favorite cue style is the classic Szamboti 8-pointer. I can't believe how many big-name cue-makers still prepetuate this design: Paul Mottey, Bill McDaniel, Bill Schick, etc... According to Dr. Wu's site, there were roughly 60 original Gus 8-pointers made.

Here is a Tonkin that is just Beautiful. Very flashy, still in the 4 digit range. :D

Saw an impossibly intricate and tastefully laid out Black Boar on this forum a while back. Looked like a way into 5 figure cue. Best thing I've ever seen.
Was it this one?

That is a very nice cue.
Been on the look out for a Black Boar myself but nothing comes along often. And anything that does come along never looks as good as that cue.
Thanks for posting.

I ain't never heard of no tonkin, but 4 digits is $1,000 so maybe it might fetch that??? Just not from me I guess.

He is out of Willow Creek cal. IMO this is a nice looking cue, and that was the Question asked. No need to get to get your knickers in an uproar. I just stated MO thats all.

My panties aren't bunched, just giving my opinion and it seems like you're the one getting nutty, IMO that cue doesn't warrent being in a "BEST LOOKIN" cue thread, maybe best looking for him, but not out of everyone. But of course opinions are like...

I'm sorry, I took you the wrong way. You have helped me out in the past, and I have respect for you here. You know your s**t. :) You do get sarcastic at times though. lol

Quite understandable, no harm no foul, and no offense taken.

Best Looking Cue

I am curious what the rest of you cue nuts on here consider to be the "Best Looking" cue you have seen; either in person or in a picture. While some of the newer styles (like Thomas Wayne, McWhorter, etc.) are very impressive, I tend to lean toward more traditional designs.

Given my tastes, I cast the first vote for the "Tangerine Dream" Searing that Si showcased recently. That one is just the nuts for me.

I'm hoping that this thread will generate some good discussions and pictures because we all have diverse tastes.
I have seen JAB's Gus Szamboti in person and that is my choice. JMHO! Stedyfred

You guys should check out Samsara cues. I have seen alot of their cues in person, these are some of the prettiest cues you will ever find !!!!!!

My two alltime favorites were a Bob Mazino that John Wright had for sale about 2 years ago, and one of Paul Mottey's ivory pointed "shark" cues, specifically the hammerhead that Cue Addicts had about 2-3 years ago. At the time, the Mottey was for sale for $5500. I would have given literally every cue I owned at the time for it. Don't know where it is now, but I'm sure it would carry a heftier price tag.
scott, i own the mottey wild bill cue..its the scrimshawed cue he has on his website. If your interested, i am looking to sell it.....steve

I like the traditional 4 point cues. I say Searing, Showman, Hercek, Tascaeralla, and Barry make the best looking and playing cues not particlar order.
