Best looking pool table

What people lean toward when it comes to appearance can be very subjective, as with anything else, but this table is a good a looker as any. I prefer green Simonis cloth myself, with good lighting, and tight pockets,

Leather drop pockets really give it that classy classic look as well.

I'll bet not one person could tell you the size of that table, unless they go back now and look again. Ha Ha

Orion,
I already have my own table. I just thought this would be an interesting topic to discuss. I am a little surprised that there are no tables that stand out as favorites like GC's etc.

Please post pics when it's done, okay? I really would like to add a game room here, but I also hate...absolutely & completely hate, the life's disruptions of a remodeling project. I'll probably be mulling this one over until I die. That said, "Best looking" is really a judgement call, personal aesthetics. Table brand? Brunswick for me...and since I don't like "bling", I'd probably go for gold crown tournament model.

I will be sure to post up pics......only if it turns out nice!! Otherwise I will be too embarrased.

any gold crown........plain but elegant. sometimes something has to be said about simplicity........................................but not with cues though :D :D :D

What pool table do you like the most based solely on appearance? I have always been partial to the Brunswick Ventura, but I think my favorite is the Connelly Ultimate. I know Diamonds are suppossed to play well, but they definately take the cake for ugliest tables in my book.

The Brunswick Anniversery !!!!!!!!!!;)

These photo's are from a section of my pool room:

Wow, I hope that is a commercial room and not your house. The anniversary or centenial from Brunswick also gets my vote.

Yes this is only part of my room which is a Pool Hall located in Lakewood, Washington. The area pictured is for my players, the Anniversary, and the Gold Crown both play jam-up, they 4 1/2 inch Corner pockets and 5 inch sides. The Anniversary is used for One Pocket / 14 -1 and the Gold Crown is mainly a Nine Ball table. They covered with Simonis 860, and best of all they have the Original Brunswick Super Speed that they were made with. Both tables came out of peoples homes and they were never abused, one thing that is for sure they do not make K-55 profile rubber they like they use to.

Have a good night!!!

No matter what the mechanics around here say, I'll wager it is impossible to wear out the original rubber on any well made table with normal use, even in a commercial room. Those are huge pockets, though. My sides are a bit over 4 " and the corners a little under. No wonder I am struggling to get back in stroke! Don't let anyone screw with those originals. If the rails come lose, glue them back on.

The standard is 5 1/4 for corners and 5 1/2 for sides and that is straight from the manufacturer. Are you measuring your pockets at the openings or are you playing on a Snooker table, because the pockets on your table are mighty tight Dude. :D

Have a good Night!!!!!!!

if u are looking for modern look tables,

i like the Dynamic II and the clash gabriels pro and the gabriels formica tables.

It depends

on the setting that the table is going to be in:

For example, in a down home basement type setting:
I like the Diamond Pro-Am Table look.

For an elegant type setting, I think the:
Olhausen Waterfall Table is a looker.

That's at the outside tips, lol! I made them that way. They were normal to start with, but not wide angle like Brunswicks. Quadriple shimmed is the shit. I'm trying to get a 9" Anniversary snooker table but I like the ball return on my Victor. I could cut the Anniversary to the right size without shimming it. It looks like the rails are the same height. Like you said, nothing wrong with K55.

I grew up playing on 8' Sport Kings and a 10' Anniversary snooker table. Never saw a worn out rail on any of them or the other brunswicks that were about 40 years older (1910?) that I don't know the names of. Yours undoubtably have many, many years left in them if you got them from private homes.

Also to Solartje, I like your cloth. I wish everybody would put darker rail cloth on their table. It makes the pockets much easier to see.

ps that table is not mine :)

it just one the was posted on this forum, and that inspired me to also customise my diamond table, to enhance the looks.

i dont like the look of diamonds either.

my diamond is still under construction, ill be using a tournament blue or gray cloth on the slate and cussions. i think black cussions make it harder to see, not easyer.

My Brunswick Gibson. I managed somehow to get one photo to upload.

That's the newer brunswick I've seen on TV? Very nice, and looks tight. How big are the corners and the sides?

Ernesto reworked it since this photo was taken. I asked him for 4.25" pockets and he made them 4". Too damn tight. He smiled and said it was good for me. I wouldn't play on it for months afterward, too frustrating. I'm finally getting a little used to it now.

This table is supposed to be a copy of the old Anniversary. It's actually heavier than a Gold Crown. And it's beautiful, with Mahogoney sides and rails. It plays okay, but I wish I had kept my old Sport King. Now, that was a pool table!

I would give this table about a seven and a half on a scale of one to ten. An eight at best. The old Sport King was a solid nine to nine and a half. The biggest difference are the rails/rubber. The balls don't bank quite right around the edges of the pockets. Even changing the rubber to Artemis 55 (by Ernesto) didn't cure the problem. Other than that, it's not bad for $5,000. I got it wholesale, with the cue rack. Retail it would be in the $9,000 price range. I'd sell it for for 5K tomorrow.

And put a Diamond or Gold Crown in. That's a big room, 16x20.
