Best made Sneaky

I'll make this easy...they ALL make the best sneaky.

You're gonna get as many answers as there are likely cue makers. Everyone has their favs.

Looking for opinions on what cuebuildr makes the best playing sneaky.

It's easy, buy a Schmelke.... add the type of tip and joint you like, and boom, you're done... if you eventually like an LD shaft, boom, buy one and pop it on the schmelke and you're done. If you close your eyes, your not going to know the diff anyways... hell, you might not know with them open, since SP kinda all look similar.....

Or help me with finding a job and I will be glad to ship you 3k cue and you would not need sneaky lol

Bob Frey!

I don't have a lot of Sneakys, but Bob's cue was a true surprise. I normally play an Ed Prewitt. When I am feeling really confident, I change to the Frey Sneaky cue and enjoy every hit.

You would not regrett to buy a Bob Frey cue

Thanks

I appreciate all the replies. Keep them coming. I am getting a year end bonus from work for about enough to buy a nice sneaky.
I was considering a Scruggs or a Josey but am respectful of all your thoughts.

Happy Holidays

this topic comes up every 6 month or so, it seems.

You can use the search function up top (see the button) and if you type best sneaky you'll get lots of opinions.

however, having read many of those threads, I can tell you that the usual top two are Scruggs and L'il Al Romero sneakies as being the best players.

with that said, cue feel is a very subjective thing and what I like may differ from what you like, as is the case with everyone who opined in those previous threads and so far right here in this one.

Ideally, if you could get to a large event like DCC or SBE or one of the big Vegas pool events where cuemakers and secondary sellers have booths, you can actually go hit the cues and make a completely informed decision.

good luck.

best,
brian kc

I've had bunches of sneakys as they are my preferred players. I currently have a 125.00 Woodworth that plays real good. Its got a great shaft. Thats the key to a sneaky IMO, get one with a shaft that feels good for you. I also put a hard Lepro on it for a buck and i'm there. I heard a old story told about Jack Hines once. Hes was playing some well known pro and the pro pulls out the whole enchilada, break stick, jump stick, custom cue, cue holder, towel, custom monogrammed case etc. After watching and waiting for him put all this together Jack pulls out a old cheapo sneaky, screws it together and tells the guy "29.99, it breaks, it jumps and runs out from everywhere!" and proceeds to knock the guy out of the tournament.

And there it is, the reason these threads ar useless.

Op already had his brand choices down, basically. Plus, everybody has their own opinions.

I had a woodworth that was the worst cue I have ever owned. Ccjohn says they are best.
