Best Non Metal Rack.

I am looking for a good TRADITIONAL 8 ball triangle that gets the rack tight. I bought a heavy duty plastic one but it makes loose racks. The metal ones cost too much and I can't find good reviews on most wood ones so I would still like a plastic version. Anyone use the Diamond brand Polycarbonate or have another recommendation? Thanks

I don’t know why nobody has made a precision aluminum rack with a silicone overcoat on the inside so that it isn’t noisy. It seems like such an easy solution.

If this won't do, it's something else. Balls, cloth, technique...

Not knocking what you said but find it interesting people look for a noise suppressed rack and then break the balls from the spot... That's not loud noise? But your idea is a good one.

Screw metal rock…. Jazz is the key
"Three Golden Horns"

Met my girl on a dinner date
Uptown movie, not back too late
But saxophones and cocktails had other plans

By Roland Kirk's three golden horns
Sol Invictus thrice reborn
Now I see the truth
Jazz music corrupts our youth

Weaving to the men's restroom
Hallucinations red and blue
These pagan rites were too much for the kid to bear

By Roland Kirk's three golden horns
Sol Invictus thrice reborn
Now I see the truth
Jazz music corrupts our youth
Turtlenecks and switchblade knives
Pointy shoes, back alley dice
Oh what's the use?
Jazz music corrupts our youth

On Slaughter Beach, it's daybreak now
My girl is nowhere to be found
Vibraphones and highballs made other plans

By Roland Kirk's three golden horns
Sol Invictus thrice reborn
They speak the truth
Jazz music corrupts our youth
Turtlenecks and switchblade knives
Business suits, back alley dice
Oh what's the use?
Jazz music destroys our youth.

If you're talking about the Delta-13, the sound deadener inserts on the outside already make it sound just like a wooden rack. Putting any plastic on the inside destroys the precision.

Use a diamond at the 'hall. They work great. Tight racks are easy.

Yep thats the one I have and it's junk. I think it's not a perfect rectangle or something. The second ball down on the right, no matter which ball is there, always has a significant gap when you have pressure on it
If the rack you're using is a rectangle, that might be your issue.

It sounds like your problem might be the table. Try racking the balls at the other end or in the middle, just to test the triangle.

How old are the balls you're trying to rack?
