I know you said "traditional rack", but the template racks really are a ton better. You also need well matched balls sizes for perfection.
Yeah I know. You dont see those in bars or a lot of rooms so I dont want to get use to easy breaksI know you said "traditional rack", but the template racks really are a ton better. You also need well matched balls sizes for perfection.
I don’t know why nobody has made a precision aluminum rack with a silicone overcoat on the inside so that it isn’t noisy. It seems like such an easy solution.
I get the sense the topic is not ' best non-metal rock'.
I like the plastic predator rack.
Diamond plastic is a very good rack.I am looking for a good TRADITIONAL 8 ball triangle that gets the rack tight. I bought a heavy duty plastic one but it makes loose racks. The metal ones cost too much and I can't find good reviews on most wood ones so I would still like a plastic version. Anyone use the Diamond brand Polycarbonate or have another recommendation? Thanks
If you're talking about the Delta-13, the sound deadener inserts on the outside already make it sound just like a wooden rack. Putting any plastic on the inside destroys the precision.
Just about 0.015” of rubber on an inside track, precision molded. No rubber touches the cloth. Won’t deform enough to create problems. Won’t clang like metal racks. Will cause the same problems any rack does with people who don’t know how to rack well in the first place. The idea of rubbing silicone on my cloth makes my skin crawl
The d'mond rack is fairly stout. Have zero issues getting frozen racks.I have a wood rack and I like the way I can push the rack forwards and lift the rack up. With a plastic rack I'm more fumbly as there's no weight to it.
It’s the best plastic rack I’ve used. I’d rather have it than Diamonds wood rack. The d'mond rack is fairly stout. Have zero issues getting frozen racks.
So I'll give you guys a tip. Those heavy duty wooden triangles like here can be made into an amazing rack. Don't buy that link, they can be had for less, just an example. I think I paid either $12 or $18 for mine a few years ago.Just about 0.015” of rubber on an inside track, precision molded. No rubber touches the cloth. Won’t deform enough to create problems. Won’t clang like metal racks. Will cause the same problems any rack does with people who don’t know how to rack well in the first place.
I have a wood rack thats all chewed up but racks tight, trust me the plastic rack I have is flawed, not a true triangleSometimes it is the Indian not the arrow...
Good rack for under $10

Why traditional? The Magic rack is awesome and super cheap. I have had the same one for three years and it's held up well. Tight consistent rack every time.I am looking for a good TRADITIONAL 8 ball triangle that gets the rack tight. I bought a heavy duty plastic one but it makes loose racks.
