Your welcome to spend as much money as you want on a cue, but I think I should be able to find a cue for $700 or less that plays as good as any cue at any price.
If you disagree, post why your $700+ cue will sink more balls and which cue you are referring to.
Thanks.

keith Kustom, plain jane or sneaky pete.

or for that matter, any other quality cue builder who builds plane janes and sneaky's for under $700.

best,

Justin

Get a Dickie Neighbors Sneaky. They play as well as any cue I have ever hit with.

Our very own 63Kcode(Larry Vigus) makes a hell of a playing cue for well under $700...
Good luck in your search!

Had a friend who played with a twenty three hundred dollar Olivia. I now play with a two hundred fifty dollar Olivia that hits identical and if stolen or damaged will not be that big a deal.

You can find a NICE used cue and play with it before your purchase. I'd go to an event like Shooters in KS during one of their big events and you'll find what your looking for along with some history and knowlege of the mfg. from a true players perspective.

I wish I understood your question.

And if you think "sink more balls" is the criterion for "best playing cues," then you don't understand your own question.

My favorite cue in that playing range is a Josey.. I let mine go a while back but planning on getting another within a year.

Sneaky Pete from <insert custom cuemaker name here>

On rare occasion, Mike Lambros will do some sneakies and will have the ultrajoint in them. Last time he did a small run of them was over 2 years ago and my father and I were lucky enough to each get one. He was selling them for 550 at the time.

IMO, that is probably the best playing sneaky that I have ever played with.

Pool Cues are like cars, my $10,000 2005 Toyota will get me to WalMart just as easily as a $60,000 2012 BMW, but I'd be a lot happier about having to drive somewhere in a BMW.

I want a cue I'm fully happy with, looks as well as balance, hit, etc...

Really for the same reason that I hate playing when I have to think about other stuff like the dishes my wife wants me to do when I get home.

I think

that Jim Baxter puts some nice players cues on here and in the for sale section that are reasonably priced. BHQ also puts out some nice looking cues for a decent price.

Yup

If you are fortunate enough to be able to design a cue from a quality cue maker that suits your taste, well... that is a good thing, right?

I wouldn't look down my nose at a nice player and don't think people should hold owning a nice cue against you.

It's a game, should be fun, the cue is visible and easy to acquire given the funds. A "good" cue may remove certain limitations, but it does not increase someone's skill level

Rodney, SVB, and the rest will kick our collective ass with a Budwiser special any day, all the time. If you think you "need" a specific cue to perform at a high level then I believe you just don't have the game you think you have.

Durbin merry widow....about 6-$650...good luck finding a nicer, better playing new custom for less
