Best pool learning books?

Why is jack white not mentioned on the cover ?
Here's the cover. I think you mistook the generic "we don't have a picture of the book but here is a placeholder" block of color for the actual cover. If you look closely, a lot of those fake place-holder covers on internet book sales sites say in very small print, "This is not the actual cover."

That would be Jack himself on the cover.

Thanks bob

"Play Your Best Pool" arrived, but I'm sending it back for a replacement. Amazon sent it in a padded mailer, and the pages got dog eared on both ends.

I can advise you to read the book Total Immersion: How to Swim Better, Faster and Easier by Terry Laughlin, John Delves. The drills and instructions in this book are giving me a new way to look at swimming.

Ughh. I hate when that happens. A new book is something I look upon with reverence. Sure, it will eventually get bent and scuffed--I've already dropped my Mark Wilson book off a shelf twice and it's banged up--yep, that hurt!--but starting off with a book in pristine condition is part of the fun.

Cappelle- Play Your Best Pool

I have not read, but have heard good things about Martin's The 99 Critical Shots in Pool and both of Robert Byrne's books.
Chappelle's books are great.
Strategy in 9 and 8 ball books woukd take a decade of playing to learn.

Set goals, find some mentors and push yourself.

Anybody ever read Ralph Eckert Modern Pool: Technique, Training and Tactics?
It's a decent read! Looks at all aspects, for the development in your game.
