Best Rooms

In the past few months I've been to many rooms around the world. My favorite in the States is Hollywood Billiards. In Europe it is Ist Billiard 8 in Zurich. In Asia it was Sports Academy in Bangkok, which has moved to a new location. I'll check out the new place in a few weeks.

If ever TD was like Tracy Anderson, who makes you feel wanted,at home, welcome, things would be better in the Pool World.
Tracy is no longer the TD at Kolby's and hasn't been for about a month now.

Bummer that is sad as he was imho a very good TD, do you know why he left, was it related to his bad back?

He bought land up north and moved. Why is it sad? The tournanments there are still well run.

I go there for the tournaments myself. Tracy was and is a nice guy but it was just a bonus that he was running them. I have talked to a lot of people and you are the first one that said they played in the tournaments because of Tracy. Most people play in it because they enjoy pool and competition. It sounds like you have a little bit of a man-crush. There is nothing wrong with that by the way. :)

No Tracy just did a dam good job, and I knew if he was running the event, it would run smooth. Unlike some TD when you need them for a call they are no where to be found, or run an event slow on purpose to sell more drinks, etc. Tracy just did his job well and did not purposely drag things out in to the wee hours.

I'll give a shout-out for Fat Cats Billiards in Arden NC (south Asheville). 22 tables, about 12 of them 9 footers. Full bar, 3 large screen TVs and several others, NFL Ticket, smoking, loud music from XM, and tables are free from 11-2 weekdays if you buy lunch. $8/hr other times. Sunday $5/hour 12-2, $10 after that...

I'm in love... :smiling-heart:

Edit: There's high ceilings and some special baffling and an exhaust system that sucks out the smoke quite well....

Hell, I'll give kudos to "Magic" in Mishima, Japan. Okinawa77 and myself were just there last weekend. I think he'll agree that it's a pretty nice place.

a couple of weeks ago i was at fats pool room in derby ct (motto "states smallest city). tough room to find as its on the third floor above store fronts, but worth it. even with gps we still had to drive up and down the street twice then get out and walk :o

big open room with 12 olhausen grand champion tables well maintained. very nice room owner. if it wasnt for the one tv in there the name could have been ames...

So who is the NEW TD? What are their quailifications? Also any room could have a great tournament,

but if it is run poor, or too slow ill pass.

.

Might have to drive over some Sunday to look see.

IMHO a BAD TD is bad for business.:boring2:

None of your questions matter. You aren't coming. If you want to know that bad - call them.

Good luck.

Guess you don't know the answer because you don't go there no more.
PM sent.

Also you seem to have a habit of opening your mouth and spewing up shit so just to let you know. I was at Kolby's last night, Monday night and yes last Sunday afternoon. But you are right - "I don't go there no more." Dummy.

I was there Tuesday night.

His name is not imortant (he may not care to have it published on the net)

All I do know is that he has ran many tournaments there in the past (including past Sunday events) and he is just as nice as Tracy is to people.
