I have had Preditor..Tiger..OB1..but the one that felt the best and played

BlueGrass shaft in your hands..comes with Morri tip and 12.75mm..great
pLow-Squirt SmartShaft® with Your Choice of Adapter. The Universal Smart Cue featuring the Universal SmartShaft Goes Beyond Deflection Reduction - the SmartShaft contains Revolutionary ''Piezoelectric'' Fabric reduces cue vibration by almost half and stiffens any cue for an astonishingly solid hit, more power, and pinpoint accuracy. The LS SmartShaft® has taken deflection reduction technology as step further. SmartShaft's® new patented piezoelectric fabric literally reduces vibration--converting the vibration remaining after your hit into electricity for increased power. This translates into better ball control, reduced deflection and improved accuracy for a quiet, comfortable and remarkably solid hit. The LS-SHAFT has a 12.75mm Moori tip, engineered pro taper, XTC ferrule technology and 8-piece radial construction for a 360 degree sweet spot. You also get your choice of adapter, so this shaft fits any cue. laying shaft..

I picked the OB-1, and I stand by it. But I'm wondering if you're going to get any response for the Meucci BlackDot shaft. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Since you're talking about LD shafts and I have tried them all and made a few of my own... the latest that you probably haven't seen is the Jacoby Edge Hybrid that feels and plays very well.

I also liked the I shafts from McD but they are just too darn light. The Mezz shafts are good but I don't like the burn marks on the ferrule.

Look for my review soon of the new Jacoby LD shaft!

That's MY new playing shaft as well Duane. I ordered it from Dave at the Derby, and haven't regretted the choice! ;)

I tried to do a little write up on it, but I could only compare it to the couple of shafts I have tried (314-2 and the OB2). Hopefully Jacoby will put up a detailed page on the Edge Hybrid shaft on their website, but it's not there as of yet. Here's my lil blurb about (first awaiting and then after getting) it.

Currently i'm shooting with a 314 2nd shaft and would have to say it tops my list followed closely by the poison venom shaft and the Z 2nd shaft. I haven't tried any of the Mcdermmot shafts... have tried the OB shafts but just didn't wow me, the wood ferrel threw me off and felt it had odd hit to it but thats just my 2 cents

you don't have the best option listed, and to me, it's not even close!

OB Classic and/or OB Classic Pro. I prefer the Pro, but if you like a larger tip the Classic is equally as impressive.

Do Predator shafts count? If so, I vote for the Predator
pre-cat 314 shaft. I love em! I might have to try out
the new OB Classic shaft. I'd like to see what all the
hubb-ub is about.

Why do prefer the pre-cat over the other 314 models ( I believe there were 3 - Pre-Cat, 1st and 2nd Gen )?

I heard that they no longer make the Universal and that new Lucasi shaft uses the same specs and what not ( basically the same shaft )? The SmartShaft was not as low deflecting as any Predator shaft.

I believe that those older shafts made in Florida back in the day had better
shaft wood, than the newer stuff made overseas. Also, this may be just a
biased reason, but I love the fact that they were made here in the good ol'
US of A. They just feel right truth be told. I have tried the 314-1, and the
314-2 and they hit like clubs to me. The original has some more feedback.
Again, that may be biased or whatever, but its the truth. I just love those
shafts.
