Best Proposition Bets

I would love to see everyone post their favorite proposition bet. I don't care where you saw/heard it, let's get some entertaining stories.

For those of you who don't understand proposition bets (Tin Cup - the movie - I can hit my pitching wedge further than you. He hits his down the road fairly soft, bounces forever).

Pool example: I can shoot this coin off the rail into a shot glass.

A good one I've seen in person is when a player says he can run 10 racks in a row, without missing, in less than one hour. However, the one caveat to this proposition is that after each break, the player gets ball in hand. If the player misses and, say, only runs 6 racks, he has to start all over.

It's more difficult to do than one might think! ;)

I seen two guys play a head set at JOB's in Nashville for several hours. They stayed about even and decided to go outside and sprint one telephone pole for the $1000. The guy that was 50 pounds heavier actually won, hard to beleive.

Rail Shots? NO PROBLEM!!

i think the guy is Jim White?

anyways he's a snooker player with a hell of a stroke! There's a video on YouTube of this guy running out a rack of nine ball. He shoots every shot by putting the cue ball ON TOP OF THE RAIL

i think its a great feat to be able to place the CB on top of the rail so quickly lol

None the less it would make a great proposition bet :D

Larry Nevel

Freezes the CB to the rail and shoots a straight in shot, but he draws the cue ball like a table length?

Then if you have any money left he'll shoot the same shot one handed

I have two that are the nuts...
First one, line up all 15 balls on the bottom rail in order
from left to right 1 to the 15, then take the 1,2,3 move them
to the right side leave them in order 1,2,3. Then bet anyone in the poolroom that you can turn your back to the table, and they can move as many balls as they want from the left side to the right side keeping them in order and without looking at the table you can tell them how many balls they moved.
I can do this everytime and have made money on it.
The second nut bet is
Find someone in the pool room that has a fast car, bet them whatever they want to bet that you can outrun their car in 50 feet on foot, you'll win everytime.

I was privy to a prop bet made at a casino in Louisiana...the idea was taken from a prop bet we had seen made at the WSOP...that this guy could stay in a swimming pool for 24 hours without getting out. He had 10k vested in it after he took all the side action, actual bet was 5k. He made it, but had to be rushed to the hospital afterwards (he completed the bet) cause his skin was so bloated it was hard for him to walk. LOL.........
