Best Runout

He didn't get a nice roll, he played it that way of the 10. Who ended up winning the ring game? It seems like I remember Johnny Archer winning but I don't remember for sure. After that runout... Jose deserved to win.

I looked at the video again, you're right, that was his intentions -- that and he got to swing at the 10 too, so it was an all-around great shot.
 
I think the lucky roll was the 2 coming out for a shot, but the shot on the 3 breaking out the 4,5,10 was a fantastic shot because I don't think that was hit with just a high ball, I think it was a just above center force follow which is SO hard to judge.

Every time I watch Jose play I learn something.

Another amazing thing was how Johnny fired back after that runout put him all-in. Jose scratched on the next break, and Johnny never let him back to the table.
 
Yeah, a really great out. Great shot on the 1, great break-out off the 3, great shot on the 5 to make it off the 10 and get a great angle on the 6, and to top it off, every ball split the pocket (except the circus shot on the 5). This is why I think 10-ball is a lot more fun to watch than 9-ball.

Off-topic, does anyone else think of Yoda every time they see Jose Parica play? Is that just me? It's some combination of stature, facial features, and supernatural prowess, I think.

When I saw the title I thought for sure it would be the runout by Corey in his match vs Mika Immonen. Wow. That was a hell of a runout.

This was a couple of years ago at Derby City. Johhny ended up winning but they had made a "deal". It got real sticky afterward, because the two players didn't agree with what the deal was.

It was a six man ring game for 5K a man and $30,000 was at stake. Both players had backers. Johnny had three guys who put him in and Parica had four. We all went up to a hotel room with the money to discuss the deal, after the match. It had gotten a litle too heated down in the arena.

Believe it or not, I had a piece of BOTH players. I had a third of Jose and a third of Johnny. :) TRUE!

Since I was the only one who had a stake both ways, the guys let me pretty much decide the fairest way to chop the money. In the end Johnny's side took 18K and Jose' team took the other 12K. I made about 4K profit my end, that's all.

Sorry, I fail to see the resemblance, but I did overhear him at a tournament once telling someone his secret to pool...

That's the great thing about ring games. The players are forced to try shots when a safety is the most prudent. Great out.
