best tool ?

I like my bowtie from Cuetec. The Willards is pretty good, if you have a tapper also. My favorite is still the Ultimate probably!

I use the Willard dime shaper, you can use dime or nickel which ever you prefer, the tip-pik shadow and a q-wiz for the shaft, I haven'y needed anything else yet, and I don't even use the Willard that much my Predator came to me with a perfect dime shaped tip.

But if that bowtie tool has your tip shaper preference and a tip pik in it I would go with that if thats what you like. I just prefer individual tools that do the one job they were meant to do. Never used the bowtie but it looks like a decent tool.

Tip pix

BY FAR MY FAVORITE IS THE PICK!!!! I RARELY EVER USE ANY TYPE OF SCUFFER. IF I NEED SHAPING I TAKE TO THE POOL HALL WHERE THERE IS GUY THAT DOES SMALL REPAIRS. ONCE SHAPED, A FEW *****S EVERY NOW AND THEN DOES THE TRICK!

Cuetec bowtie would be nice if it came in as a Dime shaper..
it has shaper (nickel) scuffer and tip pick. Nickel seems too flat for me.

Really do definate answer, my preference is my willard dime and the q-wiz, mostly for the leather. I usually use a microfiber towel to wipe down my shaft and use the porper shaft polisher if I can prep at home, but if not at home, I use the q-wiz and a microfiber towel to keep my shaft slick. I keep my willard and q-wiz with me at all times.

Chino

i use a its george its the solid steel one with one side for scuffing and the other for tapping i dont ever see replacing this tool it also comes in a leather case which keeps it from destroying my case.

and for the shaft i use a q-wiz followed up by a wipe down from a diamondback shaft cloth i dont ever see replacing these either.

anything else needed i take to the repairmen.

for the tip my vote goes for the its george tip tool. I like it more than the willards. for the saft i like the Q smooth papers, slipstic, and porpers shaft polisher.

Willards Dime, Tip Tapper, 220 sand paper

After playing I wipe my cue butts down with a micro fiber cloth. I clean the shafts and ferrules with a Smart Wipes shaft and ferrule cleaning cloth.

Paper towel from the bathroom, just a little damp from drying my hands. Then a dry piece to get any moisture out. Keeps my shafts and hands as clean as I need them to be all day.

Our Cuetec Bowtie's must be different. . .I put a dime in and it fits. A nickel does not. My tips also come out dime shaped. Hmm. . . I'd sell mine to you if interested!

I did that too and you're right. Dime fits in there better than nickel so I thought it would be Dime shape. But everytime I shape my tip it's a Nickel.

I emailed cuetec and asked them what type of shape the bowtie gives and their response was:

Nickel

As for you selling it to me..it's ok =P I'm all the way from Toronto haha

Well, now I have to measure! The current tip is a junk LePro so, who knows. It could be a dime one minute and a nickel next. I better get the Willard shaper out to confirm!

Tip Tool

There is a new tip tool called cueshark and it has everything you need plus powder holder it's sight is cueshark . com. I picked one up at VF.:)
