Best Type Rug Material for Ball cleaner

When I got rid of most of my pool stuff I through out my DIY ball cleaning machine. What is the best type of rug to cut up to use? Thank you.

rug

I would use Berber rug. It's tough and made of loops. I'm sure it would work well and last longer.
