Might be looking to have a plain no points butt made. What wood(s) would be best for remaining straight. One solid piece would be nice but it might be ok if split and cored.
I've been involved around cue sales for a long time but rarely see any. I also know there is almost no guarantee with wood (I have a SW that proves it).
a pretty piece of gancalo alves or kauri would be ideal but I'm listening to whatever.

30" or 31"
slim butt like Schon
15 - 16oz
3/8x11 pin .840 jt dia. (match SW joint)
would also like it to have a 12" - 14" rear screw-in extension

Any thoughts, ideas appreciated,,, good or bad

Purple Heart, Yellow Heart, Bocote, Ziricote, Bubinga, Shedua and many others will do the trick in a one piece butt.

Goncalo alves would be just fine as a one piece. Good weight and playable characteristics, and is generally a pretty stable wood.
