few good young americans... and few from middle east and lot from Philippines and Taiwan you guys haven't even seen yet..

but the best 3 under the age of 25 right now..

Johana Chua
Ko ping Chung
Jeffrey Ignacio.

daz, how old were you when you shifted to american pool from english 8-ball? did you think that you had the potential to improve and become a world champion right after shifting to american pool? do you think that your exposure in english 8-ball was an advantage?

for sure it was advantage .. was case of learning the equipment and balls because huge difference..

i was 30 when IPT Started so mainly 8ball 2006.. 2007 spent lot of time playing money games Philippines and USA. All this helped me learn quicker.

2008 i started to play tournament circuit full time..

i remember some 10 years ago. my friend and I were there in PICC, here in Manila when you won 10-ball against Wu in the finals. I cannot forget how well that kid broke the balls though.

Jeff Ignacio (22) will beat all of them, plays flawless when it counts.

Have to agree with this. Jeff has the highest high gear I've ever seen coupled with the most effortless stroke. When he's on, he makes the game look preposterously easy. When his break is working, goodnight

Like everyone when the are "on". So the question becomes how often is his 'on' and for how long. So if the play at their average, or normal, consistent speed who is the best?

I would say he's normally A +++ and they need to invent a new letter for his highest gear. But honestly, yeah, Darren himself put him in the top 3 players under 25 so his consistency is probably pretty good. I've had the pleasure of watching him play in person a couple times and he can really swing it.

Aloysius Yapp (currently 19 or 20yo) from Singapore. He is a World Junior Champion and he showed a very promising development as a pool player.
