Positively do not miss Snookers in Providence, RI -- one of the nicest rooms in the country and has players & action if you want.

This was going to be my recommendation as well.
Not to mention, it is literally feet from Rt 95.

My buddy owns a beautiful upscale billiard lounge called Blue Cube in Orange, CT, on Rt 1 (Boston Post Road). It is very close to I-95 which is what you would be travelling on to get from Boston to NYC. It is maybe 50 or 60 miles from there to NYC.
There are mostly 9 ft Olhausens, a few Valley barboxes, and, I think it's an 8 ft Olhausen in their secluded VIP room.
If any of this sounds like it might work for you, I could meet you there for some games if you want. Action or not, either way is just fine with me.

I second Snookers. You have players like Joe Tucker, Ray Mac and a whole bunch of new guys. I understand there is some decent action there. It also has great equipment and the waitstaff are pretty darn nice as well.Also the home to NE Pool & Billiards Hall of Fame. I'm guessing it is only 3 hours from NYC. You can drive an hour down the road that night or just get up an hour earlier. It will be worth it.
