Beware Jeff Forney!!!!!

AKA the Sharpe ring maker... He deserves to be inducted into the Official Unofficial AZ Hall Of Shame.. Right next to his pic should be one of his famous Wheat Buck's!! What a character!!!
I was there and saw the meltdown live…..wow that was crazy. I don’t recall much of it now-I just remember thinking “is this shit for real????”.

It was

Crazy

So back in September I did purchase a JB case from username “735038”. I paid full asking price (a deal actually) $150 for a 2x5. Our PM’s will be posted below shortly. It was a smooth and flawless deal. My assumption now is it was a “setup” for a big scam that’s coming…… or he thought was coming anyway. 6 months later this thread surfaces and my father tells me about this user being accused of being Jeff Forney but I had done a deal with him in September and it couldn’t be him….. I thankfully have my PM’s from the deal and realized it was the case (actually bought for and shipped to a friend of mine who I play league with) Better yet I have the box Jeff shipped me the case in. (I am guessing I didn’t get scammed because I paid goods and services. Well guess who’s address matches the shipping address on the box? You guessed right. Jeff Forney. He simply labeled the box CT…. Instead of a name. Please look at the photos of the box he shipped me with the address. A quick Google search shows this is in fact JEFF FORNEY. Photos coming….. I got lucky. For everyone else please DO NOT DEAL WITH USERNAME “735038”
I guess I'm sorry that I was right? I mean I'm glad we called him out and got another username out of here, but we all know he'll be back playing the same old game. That is unless he's behind bars with his son taking turns as Bubba's piece.

I'm glad you were right and even more glad I still had the shipping box. It was the only way to surely tie it all together and expose the crook.

Yeah, the odds of that are definitely slim, but again finding good shipping boxes is getting to be harder and harder these days. Here's the real question though:

Since we know Forney is going to keep doing this, do we keep exposing him knowing he'll just go back behind the scenes and create some fake alias? Is it better to know who he is behind the scenes and warn people when posts come up? Or do we keep getting his accounts flagged and removed?

Mods is there any way to prevent him from continuing to create new profiles?

Why does AZB not do IP checks on all new members?

A lot of sites won't let any single IP address have more than one account without going through a vigorous verification process.

My wife and I tried to open separate accounts on a certain card site and they wouldn't allow her to open one until we proved both our identities with ssn, drivers license number and a photo ID.

I would be in favor of such things here.

Also, I believe that we should have to use our real names.

This thread caught my attention because I was screwed by that idiot in 2018.

I hope that sorry piece of trash gets what's coming to him at some point.

If he reads this:

YOU ARE A SORRY PIECE OF CHIT

he's reading this

Of course he is. Scammers are always plotting their next scam, and as soon as they find a way in, they try again. Also from looking at it, looks like he's had 10 addresses on file, so IP address won't really help. Almost seems like each time he moves he tries again. We just have to keep looking out for our own, and hope that Karma pays Jeff a nice visit some time real soon.

How sad that he rents a crappy apartment after all these years. Works at a muffler shop in the rust belt. Has to puff himself up in his own mind about hospitalizing people.

Forney is a lame internet tough guy with a rapist for a son. I almost feel bad for him.

If keeping track of IP addresses is not a good way of weeding out people with multiple accounts, how about doing something like this...

All current members have to submit proof of who they are by way of:

Birth certificate
&
social security card
&
Current driver license
OR
(For people that don't drive) government issued photo ID
+
valid credit card
.
Using our full legal name as our AZB ID would good to.
.
12 months after the above is satisfied..... all members are required to submit something to confirm they still reside at same address or give proof of where they currently reside if they have moved.
.
When a new member creates an account they would have to comply with the above or they couldn't join.

That's just an idea, but IMO it would make it very, very hard for anyone to have multiple accounts.....
.
I trust the people that run this site and wouldn't think twice about giving my personal info if it was mandatory to be a member.

I know most would feel it overkill, but just imagine how much easier buying and selling would become, not to mention all the people that talk crap and hide behind AZB IDs.

For example, I have a pretty good friend that REFUSES to tell me his AZB ID.

Don't know if he picks up on it or not, but it has always bothered me knowing he is on here but doesn't want me or anyone else to know who he is.

In a way, I lost a little respect for him after that.

Parler did this and got hacked/dumped. They'd lose 95% of membership immediately if sensitive information was required

As for your friend refusing, I guarantee it's because he is a trashbag troll in NPR and doesn't want you to know how evil he really is

I hate to say it, but you are correct about my friend. He has always been a person to gossip when he has the chance, especially when the subject is pool related.

It's odd because if we never play pool or talk about pool, he is a totally different person.

Like I said, since learning that about him we have not played much at all. We use to play all the time. I wish I could overlook that, but no matter how hard I try I cannot get past it and that has caused me to lose some respect.

As for people having issues with giving sensitive information, I figured as much.

There has got to be a "middle ground" that would make members feel safe about personal information, but at the same time keep the trash away.

I dunno what it would take, but I really wish it was different.

Especially now, because I'm in the market to buy a "somewhat" expensive cue.

Have a good one sir!

735038 is Jeff. I sold him some tips in June 2020 and not long ago 735038 was selling the same tips in the cue supply section.
