Ron, I decided to include even the banned names simply so that people can do searches under those names for the reason behind my posts and the bannings. While those personas are gone, the woe is left behind.

One thing we can be sure of....he'll be back with a new name and account, if he hasn't already. The guy is a real piece of work.

Glad to hear i missed the dirtbag. I had a unpleasant deal and know how it feels to be shafted and when you're a straight shooter you just expect the same

I almost fell victim to the sexy wrapless Scruggs on eBay with ts case for 2400 had 4 shafts one of mikes best cues made

I sent him several questions on eBay to call me I'll take it do a deal etc no reply then when he did reply he asked how much I said call me let's talk but he refused to contact me. Listing ended. He sent back how much I said 2400. Then no reply. Then I sent more questions like hello and he's claims to have sold it for 1900 I call Bs!!!

Again...it is likely he will add yet another account. Protect yourself and simply avoid the name Jeff Forney or J Holmes. From my research, it would appear he has had or has multiple addresses in upstate NY and allegedly owns Munro Muffler and Brake in Bath, NY.

If you know of other account names not listed above, please feel free to add them here...as well as any other info you may have.

Mr Wilson or Mike please make this a permanent sticky at the top of this section and the Cue Machinery section as well, as he has been doing a bit of advertising there as well.

I wish this thread had been around a few years ago before I got involved with this character on ebay under the name barkcinnamon. I won an auction for a cue he listed and he never sent the cue after I paid him with Paypal as soon as the auction ended. I got into the worse mess i've ever been in with Paypal trying to get my money back. It was a night mare to say the least.

Well......this is good info to have. I am also from Upstate NY and as "NYTechGuy" on here I can surely attest that I am not this Forney character. Ugh - sorry to hear of all the bad deals. He gives us Upstaters a bad name..... John aka NYTechGuy

I apologize if any of this 'rubs' off on you...this guy is a scourge.


It is my understanding that he has been banned, once again. The Mods are doing what they can to track this guy's IP addresses, but he is tenacious, and will likely be back, if he isn't already, under a new moniker. Potential buyers need to be vigilant...KNOW who you are dealing with....especially if they have a recent join date to AZB.
 
Once, when I first signed up on here, he was going to pick up a cue for me from the expo. I'm not sure why that never panned out, probably because he wanted the money first. Anyhow, Metallicane (Sp?) picked it up for me and the deal went without a hitch. Metallicane was a great guy and did me a huge favor. Glad I never got involved with JForney. All the guys I know locally, and from AZ, that are from Upstate NY are standup guys and if anybody needs me to vouch for an upstate NY'er I personally know, I gladly will. Let's not condemn us good guys from Upstate just because of one bad apple ;) Rob.
 
Okay....I have done a little research trying to help someone from overseas who may have been ripped off by Jeff Forney, so I will pass this along here and the other thread I started over in the Cue Machinery and Supplies section.

The FBI is now currently handling Internet Fraud cases. I want everyone who has been ripped off by this bottom-feeder to file their complaints, no matter how old. The first step is to fill out the FBI's complaint form, which is online:

For those inside the US....after filling out the complaint form, also contact your local FBI Field Office. If you are having trouble locating it, PM me and I will try to help you find the info you need.

For those overseas members who have been ripped off, again, you will need to fill out the complaint form I provided the link for above. Then you will need to contact the nearest FBI Legal Attache' Office, which is often located within a US Embassy or Consulate Office...but figuring out which one can be tricky. Again, if you are having an issue locating the proper FBI Attache' Office to contact, PM me and I will try and help you with that. I will need to know which country you live in.

There is strength in numbers...and if everyone follows through, someone at the FBI is going to notice that there seems to be an issue with Jeff Forney, and it is not isolated incident.

I also think it would be a good idea to contact the FBI Field Offices in NY, since this is the state he resides in, currently.

Call one, call them all....the more cages you rattle, the better your chances for getting someone's attention.
