Beware of Singernak!

Hello all, I am just posting this to let you all know that I have a problem with Singernak with the Ariel full splice cue I got in trade from him. The post said that the cue had three shafts, two original shafts and one Predator 314/2 with Ariels ring work. He posted in his forum post that he was using only one of the original shafts. He asked me if I could wait on his sending the cue because the Ariel was his player so I agreed while the TAD I traded him was being refinished. He came back and told me the TAD had a bad handle and it would take and additional $300 to fix it which I sent out immediately upon hearing of the issue along with extra money to overnight my cue. When I sent him the money he told me he would send out the cue. When I got the cue he said the Predator shaft with the Ariel ring work had cracked. I told him then to just send me the shaft anyway as I would get Ariel to use the rings to make me another one. He said that the rings didn't match so there was no need to send it. What bothers me is why was he using the P shaft in the first place when he was already using one of the original shaft. At this point he was in reality using my cue and shafts. I asked him to make it right and either send me a new Predator shaft or the money to get one. He hasn't done either so that is the reason I told him I would be posting this so any other AZer wouldn't be subject to that same scenario I was. Thanks for your time guys and take care.

After trying to take the high road negotiations have ended with Singernak. I was asked to amend the my post to delete the repair done to the cue, which I paid for. That I figure would be disingenuous of me as the way the deal when with Singernak was as posted. I was also asked by Singernak to contact the Administration to remove the negative iTrader. I told Singernak that I would edit my post when I got my third shaft. Apparently that isn't going to happen. He asked that I just send him my cue for his newly refinished and repaired TAD but I have replaced the ferrules with ivory ones, pads and Kamui tips on my Ariel cue which my friend Kent Davis did. One of the shafts had a munched ferrule so I just went and replaced both of them to the ones I use on most if not all of my cues. This is all after he had told me that he was waiting on a call from Ariel and was going to call Tony at Tiger Products. This all leads me to believe now that he never intended to go through with what he said. And if it weren't for all the negative posts about this he wouldn't have even considered it. I never intended to tarnish the reputation of anyone on this site including Singernak but he gave me no choice. As is stands now deal with him at your own risks. Singernak will undoubtedly try to spin this however he wants and he said he would give me a negative iTrader etc. But he can't escape the truth that he just isn't an honest person. I will probably never do another deal on this site as this one has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Based on your account of the events; it appears that he owes you a new Predator Shaft. He is getting off easy too because he should also have to pay to match the ringwork which he describes in his post.

He is a member of good standing here and posts often. I am sure he will make it right.

Those of us that have been here a while may not agree with your assessment..I seem to remember Chris has had issues in the recent past with being a stand-up guy..Or should I say, Not being a stand-up guy..Just sayin...I hope he makes it right for you..

Okay, here is what really happened here. There is obviously mis communication as to what was expected.

The trade went as follows. i traded him my Ariel and the shafts
that were original with the cue, the predator shaft that was mentioned in the post is cracked and currently being inspected for warranty replacement.

My last text message from AC said " Just Forget it Chris, I'll just swing by Ariel's with a Tiger blank and have him make me a LD shaft. LATER Bud"

Those words tell me that he is happy.

I will give you the Collar ringwork if that is what you want, if you want the cracked shaft you can have it as well.

However, the ringwork doesn't match up to that cue.

Sorry for the confusion.

Chris

Was it made known the Predator was cracked before deal was made? Where is singers post that talks about this AC cue? If it wasn't disclosed before hand, that is just flat out wrong. What was the issue with the handle? If the ringwork was described as matching, it is up to singer to have AC make one that matches. That or take the AC back and give him back the Tad. This sounds like a jacked up deal. Good luck to you in getting this resolved. Personally, I would have never traded a Tad for an AC to begin with. Kinda going backwards in my mind. I woulda asked for my cue back as soon as an issue with the handle came up.

I think when singernak described the cue wrong, when you read the thread saying the ringwork matched but the photos of the cue clearly show the ring on the predator shaft is different? If this is the cue we are talking about.......

quoted from singernaks thread
The cue is made from African Padauk wood, very unique and just beautiful. it has ivory diamonds at each point, a 3x8x10 Ivory Joint, Ivory Hoppe Ring and has 3 shafts, 2 of the shafts are original and the other is a 314-2 with Ariels ringwork.

Thanks doc. Buyer is owed a shaft. Period. Nowhere does it say anything about a cracked shaft. Shaft is cracked, at least just a plain predator shaft is owed. Buyer shoud not have to buy any kind of shaft. The right thing is for the seller to pay AC for a blank and buyer can get the ringwork done. That or trade back. Those are the best solutions.
