Beyond Billiards Davie Fl

Anybody know what kind of house cues they have? I might fly over there in a few weeks for the US Open qualifier and don’t feel like taking a cue with. Especially if I fly cheap with Spirit!😀😀Broke my breaker(obviously) and found out my O1 has a loose ring and needs a full rebuild. I really don’t want anything to happen to any more of my cues right now.

Look in the corners and behind coolers , candy machines , if there is a good one in there , someone will have it stashed.

lol. I just wanna know if they have Dufferin house Cues or if they got those fucking fiberglass ones that some halls are carrying now. Better off stopping at Walmart and grabbing a cue from there if they have the fiberglass ones

(954) 434-3487....the phone number. Call & ask?
I called and the girl that answered didn’t know what kind they were. No bs

I played a lot of tournaments there and I honestly cannot remember but the place has been there a long time / The tables are mostly Gandy’s with updated rails and cloth - see if you can get Anthony Meglino on the phone there at night - house pro.

I thought they were GC. Played there a few times. One or two tables are tight

Oh stop it. I'd take ANY house cue over the $16.99 special at Walmart. I posted in a local Facebook page that I'd play SVB even if he had to use the cue I purchased from Walmart. The tip is like cardboard...

I wish I could get a good 3pc travel cue.
McDermott had one for under $200 but it’s no longer available

Lil piece of 240 sandpaper and a less than 3oz bottle of hand sanitizer and you are good.
A little wobble on to cue will be fine if you don’t dwell on it.
Think how proud you will be when win.

why not just send one to where you are staying.
players all over just bite the bullet and check their cues in baggage and pay the fee.
why would you fly somewhere to play in something important to you and not take your cue.

its you who are breaking your cues.

Well actually. The loose ring. I’m almost positive was when the old asshole on my team decided to use it as his walking stick. That was about a month ago. I noticed a slight rattle a couple weeks after. Thought I was just not hitting em well. Then it got worse after that. I can’t say for sure if it was him but that repair is definitely gonna cost me over $500. Maybe $1000

Plus I think it would fit better using a house cue with my 490 listed fargorate. What are those 700’s gonna think when I beat them?😂😂😂

What ring are you referring to? No repair should cost anywhere near that much. Nice blaming someone else when you yourself say you don't know who did it. Must be some fun team to be on. Reminds me of why i quit playing nitty league pool.

Only 2 GC left there, they might have tighter pockets. the rest are old Gandys that were redone - but pockets were about 4 3/4 - I have not been in several months, I think that they were perhaps moving to Diamonds at some point like everyone else. About 20---- 9 foot tables and they had about 5 -----7 foot tables.

I didn’t look too hard at the house cues to remember. I will be there on Monday and could take a better look. Here is a picture I took a few days ago.

I played on those in the 1990's and they were rough back then. I am guessing the house cues are old and beaten up as well. The tips will be hard as a rock. I don't think you are serious about this tourney if you are seriously considering a house cue. Don't you have a cheap cue that plays good? I used to play with a Searing (when he was local) in there until I realized I had something more valuable than anything in that room. I went and got a sneaky made to my specs for league play. It is good that the place is still around. So many pool rooms with 9 fters have now closed.
Hollywood billiards and countyline billiards had better equipment.

Well this is what I was told could’ve done it. They aren’t near the rings.

Haha. I have a few cues. It’s the cost seeing how there are no qualifiers anywhere in the Midwest I can drive to. If I go discount airlines it’s $30 a way for a bag on top of all the other costs. And I definitely will not have a breaker for the tournament anyway. Plus I didn’t realize that repair on the other one was going to take a while. The shaft of my normal 9 ball cue is there getting a tip put on too. So I’m left with 2 sticks that I only like to use for 8 ball or on 7’ tables. They are a bit shorter at 57”. Not the best for a 9 foot table.

i guess then offer someone there 20 bucks or so to use a cue for your time there.

you got too many cue issues. most have had one cue for years and never a problem. and put on their own tips which take about 20 minutes till shaped.
until a couple decades ago all cues were 57 inches as standard unless ordered differently. most all house cues like you are going to play with are 57 inches you will find. .
and have a short taper and a fat butt. with a bad tip.
