Biado giving Chua the 8?!

Chua has even challenged Filler playing 10b even a couple times. Which i would pick Filler all day long, but i believe Chua did win a set a few yrs back at DCC

Chua is a bad mofo, but he musta been mad at his backer, if that challenge was in the last 2yrs.

My understanding in the Philippines and hearing it straight from James Aranas on a stream was that gambling in Philippines is really heavily influenced on location and/or who’s room or table they are playing on. Aranas said that he could beat someone badly on his turf but then would need the 8/9 in 10 ball if he was to play the very same opponent on their home table. Weird in my opinion but makes sense if you think about the conditions and how severely or drastic they can be in the non-ac halls in the Philippines. Growing up and knowing every single roll on that particular table would be super advantageous.

Understandable in some ways. However if a table is bad enough it doesn’t really advantage anybody. The main home table for my league team is horrendous- balls can roll off in any direction. A ball can literally roll backwards if it is hit slow near the pockets. Even though we play there more than most other teams (there are multiple teams that play there as their home bar), it doesn’t really benefit us because the rolls seem so random. I don’t know why we keep playing there- we’re looking for alternatives

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. A lot of the tables are probably not perfectly level over there, and have different rolls to each of them. When playing a guy on their own turf, they will know every single roll that the table has, and how to use the rolls to their advantage. That is my guess.
