I ended up with two sets of Jimmy Reids DVD's.

Another az member bought two sets and advertised that he'd sell one set to the highest bidder and donate the money to Jimmy to help defray his medical expenses.

I bought the DVD's from him and I sent Jimmy the money. The poster then sent me the DVD's but the problem is that Jimmy sent me a set also.

Now I have two sets and I'd like to try this again. I'll take bids on this set of Jimmy Reids DVD's until midnight Sunday 02-16-09.

The highest bidder will send the money to Jimmy along with a good explanation of what's going on so Jimmy won't send out yet another set of DVD's, and I'll send the bidder the tapes.

What do you think? I just want Jimmy to get some extra cash and I sure don't have any need for two brand new sets of his DVD's.

Any bids?

I am the one posting the dvd's for Jimmy Reid in another thread and I feel this is a wonderful act of kindness you and Smokey are doing for Jimmy in his time of need. This truely shows the selfless nature of some of the great people of this forum that I would consider as best friends even though we have never met face to face. I am the same way in that respect. I am loyal to the people I care about to the bitter end. I called Jimmy and told him what was happening and he teared up. He sends his love and thanks to all concerned. I feel the same way.:)

I'm humbled by and grateful for your heartfelt response. What we've done is a very small payback to a guy who's paid his dues... and then some, and who has helped some others along the way. People say good things about Jimmy Reid.

And... it don't hurt that the DVD's are very good!!
