Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts about this..
A guy from Singapore emailed me about a week ago asking the price on a 9' table worth of simonis 860 cloth.

I gave him my pricing, and now he is asking about ROLLS of Simonis > BIG$
Now I have never been scammed before, but attempts have been made.. Mostly bogus ebay emails asking me to log in<I laugh

And im not insinuating that this is not legitimate

But I have never done an international deal of this scale before.
What sort of precautions should I take?

Get the persons full name, company and number. Then call him. Don't accept paypal, only Wire Transfer. There are also members here who can help you from Singapore to check a person out. It's good to be careful than be sorry later.

I think Ivan Lee, the President of Simonis would know who this person is, in fact...the question that really needs to be asked...is why if this person is interested in buying large quantities of Simonis cloth...are they not dealing directly with Simonis???;)

The name sounds like someone from Indonesia.
I do not understand why people want to use Singapore as a front.

I am not sure of how much Simonis cloth he wants from you
Judging from what I know from the Singapore pool scene, there is not even a pool hall with more than 20 pool tables nowadays.

So, my assumption is that this is a possible scam.

As what Blowfish suggested regarding the payment methods if you were to go ahead with the deal, please use wire transfer. make sure that the money is in your pocket.

cuedaddy, I received the same email request on 4/29. I figured it was a mistake since I don't sell any products or have any categories related to cloth yet.

This sounds like a wire-transfer scam and I completely agree with realkingcobra.

I will send you a pm to confirm the details of the email.
 
It is, In searching for the address that he wanted me to send the package, It popped up with a bunch of credit card fraud sites..
The guy has been doing it for a while

Another question that ran through my head. my only second thought would be that simonis didnt want to do any deals to singapore.. for some of the same reasons
 
Just don't accept Credit Card payments for deals you're not comfortable with. Not even Paypal or any payment service that can recall your money back.

Do wire transfer or Western Union.
 
Damn,

The guy emailed me asking about 500 JB Exclusive Leather cases and I sent him all my stock so he could he see our quality. He promised to pay me in gold pieces just as soon as his brother the King is able to reclaim the throne.

Y'all don't think I got taken do you?
