If I remember correctly the world bar box championships are in Reno Every year.

The Reno Open is in December. Big Table event at the Sands Regency. Don't eat the steak buffet.

The US Bar Table Championships are usually around the first part of March. Not sure on the dates for next year.

What's up with the steak buffet?

I psoted the dates for the bar box event in the appropriate section. The Sands emailed me with "2/23-3/01". Justin is right, the steak buffet sucks.

"The Billiard Congress of America and the USPPA have finalized plans for the USPPA to host the 2008 World Pool-Billiard Association Junior World 9-Ball Championships and 2008 WPA World 9-Ball Championship for Wheelchair Players in Reno, November 30 thru December 3. These events will take place at the Sands Regency Hotel in conjunction with the USPPA Pro Am and Reno Open, scheduled December 4-13, 2008."-From USPPA.com

I'll be there helping Scott, Ken, and Tony run the Open. The Reno Open this year will be $25,000 added, as will the USPPA hadicapped tourney.

It is bad. Go Arby's or Mel's.

Geez, guys, you're in Reno .....where they have some of the best buffets this side of Vegas.....The El Dorado Hotel and Casino is only about 3 blocks walk, and they have a good buffet....and if you have some wheels, you might think about driving over to Atlantis' Hotel and Casino, or over to John Ascuaga's Nugget in Sparks (which might be about 10 miles from downtown Reno)...These places have had great buffet dinners in the past.....It might cost you 15-20 bucks, but it's all you can eat, and the food is good....for those who want to grab the biggest and best deal for a hamburger, there is the Nugget downtown on Virginia St. ...they call it the "awful-awful" and it's a really big burger and basket of fries for pretty cheap......been there for many years and lots of locals eat there........

thanks everyone, I don't know why I couldnt find the info when I searched the web. Plus, the food information is always nice to know. Nate.
